Title: Fact

What is fact?

simple enough question

Also a question that has little to do with earth's shape either. There is a philosophy section below for those who want to find extra meaning in things that have little, and a dictionary on-line here.

Only things which can be falsified or misinterpreted to show that the earth may be flat are accepted as fact here.

No, but I think basically that the earth is flat, and the UA...everything else kinda varies between members.

Wrong, Tom. A minority of posters on this site either think the earth is flat or pretend they do. The majority of posters here are roundies trying to smash some sense into you. Just because you think you're more important does not mean your minority view takes precedent in an open public debate.

He's asking what the community view is. Therefore argumentum ad populum is argumentum totalium appropriatis.  :P

Yeah, actually that confirms I'm right. The forum as an entity has no official view other than that of Daniel, therefore to find out the community view, you need to take the view of the people within it.
I think I liked the Screaming Skull avatar better than the Gay Rugby Player, btw.

Is this supposed to mean something? Do you think they contradict (which they don't) or are you just spamming?

You are as much right as you are wrong on this one. Just because you think you try to "put some sense", i.e. to make everyone to conform to your opinion, does not make you right.

So... as far as I can tell, you are claiming that my statement that the majority of people who post on here are round earthers is incorrect? Well tell you what, why not count up all the posts by each member, including ones that hardly post at all, and see what views they put forward. When you've done your bean counting, let me know.

No, I'm claiming that your effort to refute TB's claim that it is a fact the Earth is indeed flat by using an appeal to majority is wrong just as much.

Please see Data Consistency Test in the other section, where the Round Earthers are counted as 62.5% of the sample (in fact it's higher than that as I know for a fact that at least one of the other data entries was by an incognito roundy.)

I'm a round earther but i really don't see the point in stating which theory i believe in is relevant because i was just curious to see what ideas and theory's are most prevelant within the board.

So...would the end of this argument define fact or not? If it doesn't, there's no use continuing it here, because that's not what the OP was asking.
