How can an airplane travel along the equator, taking off from point Am and land again at Point A? AKA Circumnavigation.
Because if your "Theories" are true, someone would have fallen of the edges of the flat earth.

Did you even glance in the direction of the FAQ?

Circumnavigation is possible in FE. It's stated in the FAQ.

I have circumnavigated the globe twice. Neither time has convinced me of a round earth.

I have circumnavigated the globe twice.
No, you haven't.
-
Yes sir, I sure have.
-
I thought you were an FE'er... :'(
-
I fail.
I have circumnavigated the FE plane twice, neither time convincing me of a RE.

Having been raised from birth in an RE household, it's often difficult to correct certain phrases that have become ingrained in us. I understand completely.

Did your navigator use an accurate FE map or did you have to amble around with an inaccurate RE map?

Actually both times were with a government supplied computer tracking GPS signals. Go figure.

I have read the FAQ, and it barely answers my question. The magnetic north pole is not at the same exact point as the exact north pole, making compases only partially correct. If you were to "follow your compass due east or due west" you would not reach the exact same point on a flat earth.

Do a search with this term:
Use of a compass.

rimward and hubward are also useful searchwords for the compass query. Search with username tom bishop

I think you raise a valid point Proleg. Developing a new language to escape the corrupted terms foisted upon us by RET is important. What term would you use?

I often use the same incorrect phrases myself, but I try and restructure the sentence so as not to make it awkward with the dropping of "globe" or other flawed terminology whenever I can. We could really use a dictionary-type thread so we can discuss our alternatives and agree upon them as a whole.

Oh God, please don't tell me there are parents who actually teach their kids that the Earth is flat..

Why not? Some parents teach their kids to be Muslims. No difference.

With regards to the FET theory; I like the way the Earth is impossible to navigate beyond Antarctica.
Lovely, handy coincidence you have here...
