Have they been shown to be so?  I don't remember them being shown so.  Perhaps you can quote the post in which this showing took place?  Because, as far as I can tell, my equations have been shown to be correct for the FE.

A dude once told me this and I'm going to tell you it, It's over your head and under your foot, don't step on it.  I think thats what he said. It's a stupid way of me saying you know why.  I didn't like that guy who told me that.

Actually kinda.  The DNC gives me a week off from school, I can drink all I want.  I am trying to hide it.  Still doesn't change anything. I know you peaced out when I said
It's only ironic if its true so...

Which clearly means, its only ironic if you were wrong as well.  And since you claim my statement was ironic, it means you admitted you were wrong.

Added since you posted again.  I had 3 pints.  Its funny though, I saw you tried to claim I was drunk earlier today.

But we are using the same equation you used in your model.
but you are calculating the acceleration on the object incorrectly, Do this do not think about what happens in reality think about what the model states, and then ask yourself what is causing the acceleration on the object.
I don't bother with calculations because it's not my stuff but when I look at this thread I get feeling what is totally wrong with FE hypothesis. All FE people live in the world which lives and functions on RE rules and the rules work. To get some proof or some real understanding how FE world functions you must live on flat earth. And there they fail totally, they don't itself have real understanding how FE must work and so they invent all this new stuff(like EA) and assume all things(like light bending upward, acceleration an so on). Okay, they see some things that in their eyes must prove that earth is flat but it's only so far when you go out and do some real experiments and collect data some time. But they don't do that either.

Sorry if this has been answered, I read most of the thread but might have missed it.

Quote from: TheEngineer
Now, let's get back to our little experiment.
We have two big vacuum chambers, one on the RE and the other on the FE.
Both contain a mass at a mere 1m above the ground.
Both masses are released at the same time.
What happens to each mass?

Obviously in the RE model, gravity will pull it down until it hits the ground. Just like it would if you actually tried it.

However, according to the FE model it would honestly stay floating. That's because, before it's released, it has upward velocity equal to the upward velocity that the entire planet and all objects on it that aren't 'falling' have. Since there's no air resistance to pull it down (it's in a vacuum!) and inertia states that unless a force acts on the object, it'll keep its upward velocity equal to the earth. Hence, it should float!

But we both know that if you tried it, it's not gonna float. I don't happen to have a vacuum handy or anything, but I'm sure you can't deny that an object placed inside one would fall.

Anyway, sorry if this has already been stated, but I'd love to hear any arguments against this.

Gravity would not pull it down in RE.

What is the velocity of the earth, say, one second after you release the mass?

Oh dear. Learn FE please.

Unless FE states that there's some inexplicable force on the Earth that causes it to constantly increase in speed, I don't know what could make my analogy wrong. If there's something I'm not factoring in about FET please tell me!
Title: Re: Looking for an intelligent argument.

There is an inexplicable force. The same one observed in RET.

EDIT: I don't mean gravity, I mean the one causing the rate of the universes expansion to increase, Drainy.

Why wouldn't gravity pull it down in RE? I'm pretty sure gravity exists whether you're in a vacuum or not.

As far as I know, FE states that the velocity of earth is constant. Again, I may be incorrect in assuming this. But you're the FEr, you should know! I dunno why you're asking me.

There is an inexplicable force. The same one observed in RET.

Well played. But do FErs generally accept that the speed of Earth is constantly increasing, or is this a new concept you were just now forced to consider?
Title: Re: Looking for an intelligent argument.

The first one, unless your referring to Planar Earth, which is stationary and uses gravitation.

The earth is constantly accelerating. See below. Also Im not an FEr.

Quote

No. The accelerating theory has been established for some time. Though as far as I know not all FErs subscribe to it.

I agree with you. This thread has been derailed to the point of no return. Seeing the massive number of off-topic posts, I doubt anyone would be posting anymore on-topic posts; the on-topic posts will become useless anyway, especially after more posts coming from Sokarul. I prefer moving this thread to Everything Else if you are interested, since at least 80% of it have nothing to do with FET discussions.
