Academic vs. real world
-
Where's the "I am an RE'er and I have looked through a telescope option?"
-
This poll makes no sense. Aside from cheesejoff's question, what are you trying to count, exactly? How do the different poll options represent a relevant partitioning of the population? And what does the title "Academic vs. Real World" have to do with anything else in this thread?
Consider this thread targetted for deletion unless you can argue that there's something non-random going on here.

I don't understand either. What do those poll choices have to do with "academic vs. real world"? I'm baffled.
-
It's called a joke (but I guess no one gets it but me). So feel free to delete it. I set that option that it should go away after seven days. I appreciate the warning.
-
Can ye explain the joke? Or will yer thread be sent down to Davey Jones' locker?

that would give the game away now wouldnt it!

I didn't want to point out the obvious, but... yeah, that's what I suspect. Incidently, no one paid any attention to my more serious posts regarding astronomy, so I decided to tone down my sincerity.

no one paid any attention to my more serious posts regarding astronomy,
Which posts were those?

That one is all about it. Completely turned against the FE theory now though, so no one touches it.

Actually, the most likely reason no one touches it is either because you were gravedigging an old post that we all felt should be left in peace, or because your incoherent rambling set up fields of strawmen in an attempt to attack the FE model, or in could have been your use of flawed analogies (usually reserved for bullhorn) involving balloons.
Just maybe.

I find this to be an accurate poll, I have said that there may be a difference in some of my previous posts so this poll is accurate

Do you mean that you believe the results of the poll to accurately reflect the general population? If so, do you really believe that 20% of people believe in a falt Earth and have been in orbit? If not, what do you mean?
Also, could you please explain what the following sentence means?
I have said that there may be a difference in some of my previous posts
Once you are done, perhaps you could explain what this one means:
What is the difference between a bird? It has two legs, especially the left one.
Thanks, I appreciate it.

It was my post. And now it's deleted. What happened to this?
Not one single thread has ever been deleted (or locked) on this forum for disagreeing with the flat earth theory.

Maybe you would learn why people delete your posts if you did not suffer from an inability to read the latter portions of any sentence blah blah blah filler filler filler blah blah blah?

I don't think you really understand. That post had many viable points. Then I was backfired eg. "Why don't you explore the universe?" Where my point had nothing to do with it?
If you are unable to accept the proof, or unable to give viable proof to backup your theory, why delete posts? Does that make people believe in the FE theory?

Having read many of your posts, I have a hard time believing this.
If you are unable to accept the proof, or unable to give viable proof to backup your theory, why delete posts? Does that make people believe in the FE theory?
The two events have nothing to do with one another. Usually we simply cannot understand what you (you in particular, not REers in general) are saying, and when we do, we find that your claims are totally inadequate to refute FEism.
We delete posts for various reasons, primarily: because they are offensive or inflammatory in nature, because they are spam, or because they are disruptive to the general flow of discussion. That they disagree with our beliefs is never cause for deletion. I think the fact that approximately all posts in this forum not authored by moderators, by Dionysios, or by bullhorn are pro-RE is indicative of this trend.
