You know, if you would but VISIT the boards (yes yes when they are up) you may be surprised. We have good people there. Edmunds, Bog, Hara, Divito used to but became too good for us all, raist joined but apparently lost his internets because his parents caught him reading the book of the dead, Tom has attempted to sign up 885 times but is hitting 0, mc joined, and other people are trickling back home as time goes on. We have a lot going on, and a lot more coming back, so please consider it. Hara's boards are peachy, but we need people like yourself to add spice to the rack, so to speak.
Also, Edmunds is the love child of a zergling and Ricky Shroeder.

Who says you can't be in control when you're drunk? I mean, obviously, you shouldn't be operating vehicles or heavy machinery, but I'm usually SOMEWHAT rational when I'm drunk (then again, I hardly ever am completely shitfaced either). Plus, you're never in control of life. You're always at the mercy. Might as well take the time to be at the mercy of the moment. At least, when you have nothing better to do.

side note... i am getting off my alcohol tether on Saturday... and my drug and alcohol counseling is over on Monday. Dont drink and drive twice.

I'm not talking about the legal consequences. Drinking and driving is stupid, blatantly. I understand drinking like one beer or something and driving, but there's no excuse for driving around above the legal limit. It's just poor judgement. While I like getting drunk, I also feel it's important to actually know what it's really doing to your body. If I'm getting drunk, I'm going to be at a place where I can crash for that night, otherwise I just won't do it.

Although it is not my all time favorite time sink, I am actually enjoying it. I am now level 8.
I have played less than 3 hours. I am enjoying the fact that, as you level up, your character physically looks more badass. Muscles changing, etc. Warhammer online will laud this, but this game here does it. When you see a level 99 orc berzerker, you know to walk the other way lol.
The pathfinding, as I said in the game thread, is atrocious. If you click past a fence to go someplace, but the fence is in the way, your avatar will stand at the fence, having a seizure. I just ignore that, and play, and I feel it is something to do when wow is down.
I despise the player-stores crap. People advertise shit constantly, and it can become tedious, but I just ignore the 'looking for auto loot grp' shit, and solo it. I am doing fine on my own, and I am already wearing impressive stuff for my lowbie level. My sword glows black, like death itself, and I am having a modest fun time with it.
It will never dethrone wow or EVE, but its something to do without paying for it. :P

That was one of the things that turned me off about the game. I felt like I was on rails for the couple hours that I played.
I remember that the game looked pretty decent visually, but I didn't find the styles all that inspired--just looked like Final Fantasy knockoff architecture and characters. But that's just me.
I might try it out again some time, though.
