Cartography is amazingly accurate to be a hoax. You decline maps as RE maps, but you travel with the help of maps, because they are accurate. What proof( besides that it is a part of the conspiracy) do you have that those maps are false?
-
This site is full of nonsensical "proof" for us to believe
-
FE cartography doesn't really exist. They hardly ever mention that according to FE theory, the southern hemisphere/hemicircle would be about twice as large as the northern. Everything south of the equator would widen dramatically. Ever wonder what happens to time zones in FE Australia?
-
im a scientologist and the flat earth was described in our holy book very discriptivly. what happens is that measurments of length actually get shorter as you go more below the equator. to that what looks like a meter could actually be two. that gives the apperence that it doesnt widen when actually in fact it does.
-
What does that have to do with my question?

Now I ask you, who could argue with that? :o :o
But you give the hoax posting away with the "below" the equator. A real surenuff FE believer would say "beyond."
-
Scientologists don't have a holy book....

Ah right! So space physically alters itself in the southern hemisphere. So what, I'm actually 12 foot? Awesome!!!

Google Earth is part of the conspiracy.
-
one of these days I am going to make it into space and film this darn round planet moving and show you FE'S that it is round. Oh better idea. when they get that space elevator up and running I will pay your way and let you see its round.
-
Well, good luck with that endeavor, buddy. With the space elevator physically impossible from an engineering standpoint right now, I'd hope that cheap space tourism comes into fashion sometime soon. ::)

What proof do you have that this is not a real picture of Africa?

Look, anyone who's ever been bushwalking (sp) in Australia with a map and compass can testify the maps aren't twice as wide as they're supopsed to be...
but of course, i forget, Australia don't exist in FE ::)

I am not saying that it is not a real picture, I am saying that the distances between places are accuarte.

From an engineering standpoint it isn't impossible. It is from a textiles standpoint. =) But there are already great strides being made towards developing a fiber that is thin and strong enough to act as the cable.
-
I am not saying that it is not a real picture, I am saying that the distances between places are accuarte.
If the earth is a globe it would be impossible to accurately represent a sphere onto a flat surface.
But since the earth is flat is becomes extremely possible.

If the earth is a globe it would be impossible to accurately represent a sphere onto a flat surface.
But since the earth is flat is becomes extremely possible.
Hence the creation of a Globe.

You must be retarded or something. That isn't a FE map, it is a RE map. And a FE map is the one that is impossible to create, thats why noone created it. Actually you made a good poin. If the earth was flat, it shouldn't be so hard to make an accurate FE map
-
These maps do a good job.

*wraps head around this one*
Let's simplify this FE argument!
1. Maps are very accurate since any normal person can use a map and verify that it works.
2. Maps are flat (that is, usually they are printed on paper)
3. One cannot accurately represent the surface of a sphere on a flat surface
4. Thus, since our maps are accurate, the Earth is flat!
But then of course when you navigate with a map in your day-to-day life you're usually working on a very small scale. So in that case flattening a spherical map doesn't lose much accuracy. And then you've got to remember that the Mercator map is widely accepted is being a gross misrepresentation of the Earth since, in keeping the latitudes perfectly straight (for navigation purposes), it blows the continents way out of proportion. That's why we have the Peters Map:

Or the one in sokarul's post.

So your proof is that it's easier to map a flat earth? Jesus, Tom, that wasn't even funny. Where's Narcy? I need a laugh.

Why won't you listen? Google is part of the conspiracy, and Australia does not exist.
-
From an engineering standpoint it isn't impossible. It is from a textiles standpoint. =)
But someone needs to engineer those textiles, right?
-
Why won't you listen? Google is part of the conspiracy, and Australia does not exist.
*Sigh*
Google is not part of the conspiracy and Australia does exist.
-
So YOU say.
-
I have maps!
go look!
AND a flat Mars! in fact I'm going to go and found a Flat mars Society!
-
I don't get it.
Google says the Earth is round, so they MUST be lying.
-
I don't get it.

Or simply misslead.

Why won't you listen? Google is part of the conspiracy, and Australia does not exist.
*Sigh*
Google is not part of the conspiracy and Australia does exist.
Wrong!

Eh? It would be impossible? Just peel a globe and flatten it by pounding it with a hammer. Or just make a projection:
Explanation of Projections (http://www.nationalatlas.gov/articles/mapping/a_projections.html)
Or just use a globe. Are you saying a globe is about two times smaller than it is supposed to be (talking ratios, don't be like "there thousands of times smaller :p)? For me globes are pretty accurate.

Ugh, Tom is being ridiculous.
