Title: Why 150 feet?
Post by: Roundy the Truthinessist on April 06, 2007, 03:30:46 PM
I'm not sure if this has been covered yet, but given that nobody except for some high-Conspiracy guards have seen the ice wall, what specifically makes you think it is 150 feet tall?

Because Sir James Clark Ross describes it as 50 meters in height on his voyage to find the Southern Magnetic Pole.

Of course, he didn't actually see it, and besides, if he did, wouldn't the conspiracy have killed him or something before he let out the information? For those FE'ers who are going to say "Well, if they killed him now it would give away the conspiracy!"

"Why 150 feet?" That's just like asking "Why 42?" In both cases, the answer is "Why not?" or "It just is."

What are you talking about?

Since James Clark Ross discovered the Ice Wall in 1841 hundreds of people have visited the area. Every picture of the coast of Antarctica you find on Goolge Image Search is part of the Ice Wall. In honor of Captain James Clark Ross the Round Earth scientists named it the Ross Ice Shelf.

You may wish to avoid specifics when answering questions in the future Tom.
The Ross Ice Shelf is only a portion of Antarctica and has been circumnavigated thus is a poor candidate for your ice wall.

so what you are saying is that every other Fe'er on this site is BSing me, and that the ice wall is not actually a conspiracy... get your facts straght... or better yet, get some facts, then get them straight
