Aye, Microsoft has caused me a lot of personal pain and suffering. Plus its  software philosophy is worse than its software quality standards (the shinier, the better!).

Linux is great for people like you and me, but the rather steep learning curve can be quite prohibitive.

Ive never had either of my windows machines (laptop or pc) running now crash, and Ive had 4 or 5 before that that have never crashed, I dont take care of them at all either, so I never understood that.

If you grew up using a Unix-variant rather than a Microsoft OS, the learning curve would not exist.

my home computer with WinXpPro.

btw i have porn and a computer that doesn't crash. I also have a computer engineering degree and still use Windows as my default OS.
