It's flat enough. If you shrunk Earth down to the size of a basketball the tallest mountains wouldn't be any higher than the bumps on the ball.

My point is that it is not symmetrical, which is going to f*** up your data whenever you try to find a curvature of the Earth.

if you scaled the round earth down to the size of a billiard the earth would actually be smoother than the billiard
