Considering The Lunar Phases In Planting And Pruning
For thousands of years, humans have taken into account the moon's position when planting and pruning. Over time, this ancient knowledge has been forgotten. As people transitioned to using machines, they became more machine-like themselves. However, this situation needs to be corrected.
We often hear the following phrases: "This year's crop is not bountiful." Or "The product quality is very low this year." But why is it that despite planting at the same time every year, one year we have a high yield and the next year the yield is lower? Is it the temperature? Climate change? Something else? No. This is entirely due to the fact that we have ignored the moon’s effect.
For thousands of years, people knew that they should not plant or prune when the moon is waxing. This is based on a very simple principle: when the moon is waxing, water moves upwards, and when the moon is waning, water moves downwards. (Image of the moon and water)
When the moon is waxing and water moves upwards, the yield of crops planted during this phase is low. This happens because the water in the plant’s body moves upward toward the branches and leaves, where it does not help the growth of the plant. Instead, it creates unnecessary weight, leading to the plant's unhealthy development. If you plant a crop, whether it's a vegetable or a tree, when the moon is waxing, you will not get a good yield.
When the moon is waning, the water in the plant moves downward. This downward pressure facilitates root development, even for seeds. When a plant is planted during this phase, the roots grow, and as the moon begins to wax again (in about one week or at most ten days), the water will move upwards, aiding the development of the plant’s leaves. Thus, the plant enters an ideal growth cycle and develops healthily.
In addition, depending on the intended use of the plant, attention must also be given to the planting date. This second method is based on the zodiac signs. According to this method, plants are divided into four categories, and for each type, specific planting, pruning, and cultivation periods are determined. According to this system, planting the following plant types during these zodiac signs will significantly increase the yield:
Plants for their fruits: Tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, apples, pumpkins, etc.: Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius (Fire signs)
Plants for their leaves: Parsley, spinach, leeks, etc.: Pisces, Scorpio, and Cancer (Water signs)
Plants for their roots: Carrots, radishes, potatoes, onions, garlic, etc.: Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn (Earth signs)
Plants for their flowers: Lavender, roses, medicinal chamomile, etc.: Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius (Air signs)
Based on this, we can determine the most suitable dates for planting, pruning, and cultivating:
Lunar Full Moon Dates for 2025: January 13, February 12, March 14, April 13, May 12, June 11, July 10, August 9, September 7, October 7, November 5, December 4
We calculate two days after the full moon to avoid the negative effects of the full moon.
Based on this, the most suitable
dates for planting, pruning, and cultivation for 2025 are:
January 15-25
February 14-24
March 16-26
April 15-25
May 14-24

It is absolutely necessary to plant a plant during the moon's waning phase. However, paying attention to the plant's zodiac sign may not always be necessary. Since paying attention to the moon phases is crucial, I have prepared a calendar that only includes this.
Secondly, I have prepared a customized calendar that takes into account the plant species.
By following the first calendar for planting, sowing, and pruning, the plant's productivity will increase by 100%. If you also pay attention to the zodiac signs along with the moon calendar, the productivity will increase by 150%.
Plants for their fruits: Tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, apples, pumpkins, etc.: Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius (Fire signs):
March 21-26
April 15-20
August 11-21
December 6-16
Plants for their leaves: Parsley, spinach, leeks, etc.: Pisces, Scorpio, and Cancer (Water signs)
February 20-24
March 16-20
June 22-23
July 12-22
November 7-17
Plants for their roots: Carrots, radishes, potatoes, onions, garlic, etc.: Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn (Earth signs)
January 15-20
April 21-25
May 14-20
September 9-19
Plants for their flowers: Lavender, roses, medicinal chamomile, etc.: Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius (Air signs)
January 21-25
February 14-19
May 21-24
June 13-21
October 9-19
Each plant species has more than one planting period. It is possible for some to be planted within 3 date ranges and some within 5 date ranges. This means this. Some species are seasonally compatible with some seasons. For these species, attention should be paid to the season as well as the zodiac sign.
Traditionally, the following fruits are planted in these months.
March – April:
Potato
Strawberry
Apple (early spring)
Cherry (early spring)
Pear (early spring)
Grapes (spring)
May – June:
Tomato
Cucumber
Pepper
Beans
Zucchini
Eggplant
October – November:
Apple (fall)
Cherry (fall)
Pear (fall)
Grapes (fall)
If we place them in the right place within the calendar, it becomes:
March 21-26, and / or April 15-20Potato
Strawberry
Apple (early spring)
Cherry (early spring)
Pear (early spring)
Grapes (spring)
May 14-20 – June (x): This year these fruits are not planted in June!
Tomato
Cucumber
Pepper
Beans
Zucchini
Eggplant
October (x) – November (x) : December 6-16 We see that these fruits, which are traditionally planted in October and November, would be healthier to plant in December this year.
Apple (fall)
Cherry (fall)
Pear (fall)
Grapes (fall)
From the example, I explained how we decided which fruit to plant in which period. From this, a single date can be determined for each specific species.
If these dates are followed, plant productivity can be increased from 100% up to 500%.
The mentioned calendars are listed below:

PS: In this forum, questions are raised about what the relevance of seemingly off-topic studies related to the flat Earth is. I am writing this note to clarify this situation.
Modern lunar science cannot approach the phases of the moon in the context described above. The way sunlight hits the moon and which areas are illuminated has no practical significance. However, this is extremely critical information from the perspective of traditional agriculture, and if the Earth were spherical instead of flat, this study would be meaningless. If you follow the planting, sowing, and pruning dates mentioned above and your crops become 200% more efficient, the reason is that you have utilized the moon phases that are valid due to the flat Earth.
