The first picture is to show the general path of the stars relative to someone on Earth.

The second picture seems to be EG's attempt at trolling.

No, he is making a very clear point. Pictures mean nothing (except when found in ENaG of course) unless the results are reproduced in an experiment conducted by the sceptic. And when these results are confirmed, it can be logically concluded that this phenomenon is due to celestial gears.

You'd think that direct observation would be high on your list of important things, however I guess if you choose to resign yourself to believe in fae and brownies its not a big deal.

Oh yes it would be, but without directly observing Africa, I can still conclude that it exists based on provided evidence. The scientific method allows for more collaboration and haste in understanding the universe. Zeteticism has already reached a standstill on this very forum since none of you can afford or be bothered to conduct any experiments for yourselves.

Is direct observation where Zeteticism stops (and the Scientific Method continues with hypothesizing, experimenting, and concluding)?

No, not at all.  There is a zetetic method which does not utilize hypothesizing.  Hypothesizing is just a tool to let you see what you want to see and then force the data to fit.  We've seen it with Hafele and Keating and we'll see it again.  Current science is driven by money and grants.  Its no longer a search for truth, but a search for recognition and funding.  Just look at valid theories that come from smaller universities like VSL that are ignored just for the sake of their origins.

A brighter spam free forum is what the administration here is trying to achieve.  If you want to post useless posts, do it in the non serious or the discussional forums.

I agree that science today is largely driven by money, grants, etc.  But I'm not sure I understand why you say that "hypothesizing is just a tool to let you see what you want to see and then force the data to fit".

Science doesn't prove, it supports. Now take the global warming theory for example - there is hardly enough data to conclude beyond any doubt that it is happening and will be disastrous to life as we know it, so obviously there are going to be opposite sides in this argument.
If the zetetic method was the primary universal tool in approaching scientific problems, would we be any further ahead in convincing the world whether the globe is warming or not?

Also, given any group of reasonable and logically minded people - either the scientific method or the zetetic method will lead to a conclusion that the Earth is indeed round.

I'd argue that it wasn't a useless post, but that's your opinion. And by the way,

Nothing aside from math proves anything.  There are other sides, but this was slowed greatly by the fact that anyone with a differing view for a long time was marked as a loonie.

I prefer not to deal with "what ifs" that can't be answered to any degree of certainty.  However, from a knowledge standpoint, zeteticism is paramount.  Your opinion on where these things would lead are just speculation and betray your tendency to jump into beliefs before examining them scientifically or zetetically.

Well obviously. If our thirst for knowledge is ever to be satiated, a line has to be drawn where theories are tossed out for their absurdity. If not, we would still be arguing whether the sun is a great ball of fire or not.
But there are also exceptions. It highly depends on the validity of the first theory as opposed to the validity of the other. The evidence for a RE is very strong and with no holes. The theory of gravity, which is awfully similar to electric and magnetic, weak and strong nuclear attraction explains all the observed phenomenon in the sky. FE relies on many disjointed theories to explain each observation as they arise. No gravity, thus UA. No gravity, thus rotating heavens due to celestial gears. Varying accelerations on Earth, thus gravity from celestial objects.
They're branded as loony for a reason...
