Hello all. Enlighten me!
« on: June 03, 2008, 10:57:06 PM »
Now. I have stumbled upon your website and I must say that I am having a hard time believeing what I am seeing. First of all:

If the Earth is flat, then why are satellite images showing a 3-D globe?

Also, if there is a gigantic block of ice surrounding the Earth and all of its flatness, then why the hell can't anybody see it??

I ask these questions in utmost sincerity and hope to get a nice, legitament answer. Thank you FE'ers.

They don't.  No satellite takes a picture of the entire Earth.  They take several pictures and piece them together into a rendered globe.  How does that prove a Round Earth?

When would homeless people ever relinquish their crack money for anything other than crack?

Even your lame retorts are fallacies...

I've got one thing, and only one thing.  If you can explain it away, I'll never come here again.

Foucault's Pendulum.  Easily repeatable by anyone anywhere, with the exact same results.  How can something like that fit into a Flat Earth view?

Except that Foucault's Pendulum seems to be subject to influence by celestial bodies. Which is exactly what is predicted in the FE model...

The motion of the pendulum may be caused by the rotating gravitational field of the stars overhead.

They don't.  No satellite takes a picture of the entire Earth.  They take several pictures and piece them together into a rendered globe.  How does that prove a Round Earth?
Prove that the pictures are rendered. Prove that the live feed of the orbiting satellite is some editted fake video being played in a studio.
You can't, so you just call it fake and carry on about your business telling yourself that what you see is fake, I guess it helps you sleep at night.
As far as I am concerned you're just trying to find excuses to "prove" the world is flat. You have no proof you just have excuses and assumptions.
And the best you have is "Go look at the FAQ".

Trekky said nothing about the images being rendered, he was talking about the canvas they were laid upon.
Prove that the live feed of the orbiting satellite is some editted fake video being played in a studio.
Why does he have to, did he make that claim?

The images are taken by many different companies and at varying times, all these pictures are then jigsaw puzzled together and slapped around a spherical object. If you cannot read whilst debating others, then please go bother a forum that is more tolerant with people with learning disabilities such as yourself.

You actually can not PROVE this. Why do you make these random claims?
Why do you sad pathetic people try and try and try so hard to make people think the world is flat?
Looks like there are 14296 people here that lack intelligence and have too much time on their hands to believe something as far-fetched as this flat earth crap.
Luckily  not all of those members believe this shit. You guys are pathetic, go have sex with something other than your hand thx.

Here:
Quote from: http://computer.howstuffworks.com/google-earth6.htm
The photographic maps available on Google Earth come primarily from two sources: satellites and aircraft. Google gets this imagery and other digital mapping information from sources such as TeleAtlas and EarthSat, both of which compile photographs and maps into digital form for commercial applications. Because the data comes from different sources, it's provided at different resolutions, which is why some areas of the globe appear crisp even at street level while others are blurry from a great distance. Google is striving to have as much high-definition coverage of the world as possible. When you use Google Earth, you're not viewing the imagery in real time: according to Google, the information is no more than three years old and is continually updated as new data becomes available
You actually can not PROVE this.
ORLY?
Why do you make these random claims?
It wasn't random, the OP asked a question, he got an answer.
Why do you sad pathetic people try and try and try so hard to make people think the world is flat?
I don't, please lurk moar.

Trekky being one of 90odd% percent of the board that doesn't believe this shit.
You guys are pathetic, go have sex with something other than your hand thx.
Go have sex with something other than farm animals and non-marital family members, you're welcome.
