landover is so funny. try and find the thread that compares black people to seagulls. we were in stitches at the stupidity of it. theres many gems on there thats for sure.
oh and the threads about flat earth (thats how i found it). they are very funny too.

I've just been flicking through it.  The scary thing is that I'm having trouble working out if any of these believers are trolling.  If they're being genuine, then wow.  Just wow.

Actually, I don't enjoy his posts. I really don't. However, I think we need consistency in how rules are executed. In my opinion, if markjo, jason_85 and Puttah are okay, then so is sceptimatic.

We let people say what they want, even if what they want to say is shit. We only disallow a single word in the entire forum. Let's keep it that way (or maybe even try the radical approach of not banning words!).

That's why I made the analogy at the start. Sometimes the powers that be have to step in regardless of the rules. You used to regular the debate. You and thork could tag team and put people in their place. But you no longer enjoy your fish and chips either as every thread is turned itno the sceptictank show.

It's a word that black people sometimes use to describe other black people (or, indeed, just people), but it's considered a racial slur if a non-black person uses it.

Anyway, he may have been a bad poster but banning him would have gone against everything we stand for here. Even if he was trolling, how do you prove that? And doesn't it leave a terrible precedent for banning anyone we don't like? After all, there's no one here with more than a few thousand posts who's never been accused of trolling.

to claim you dont think he is trolling is a little dishonest though. also a ban would be harsh.
