The Lounge / Aspartame: Delicious or Deadly?
« on: October 16, 2006, 05:33:23 PM »
Until I found this, I drank diet sodas. Now I won't drink any sodas. It's an important read people. In the liver, aspartame will eventually be converted to rat poison (formaldehyde). So stop being suckered into drinking a possibly deadly chemical NOW! Remember, we used to use lead-based paint.

Flat Earth Q&A / Gravity Question

So in the FE model it's a magical mystical force that affects everything except Earth?

I'm really just trying to understand all of this. It just seems odd that the flat earth people denounce gravity, yet at the same time use gravity as an explanation for something.

The FE model is by no means finished. There may not exist gravity at all in the FE model. In an FE, the Earth doesn't have a gravitational pull, but instead is accelerating upwards. Read the FAQ. If you can prove that people weigh a bit less at high altitudes, then the sun, moon, and stars emit gravity in The FE theory. If you weigh the same everywhere, then there is no gravity, but just the aforementioned acceleration.

Well, isn't the "law" of gravity considered a "law" because it is universal? Why would gravity apply to some objects and not others?

It is the law of gravity in the RE model. Not in the FE model.

Yes, and it also makes sense to troll this forum instead of asking for clarification.

I've been thinking if the Earth is flat, shouldn't I be able to afix a laser on a level tripod on the "East" Coast of the US and have that beam transmit clear to Africa, or the UK?

Yes, if you have a laser that's powerful enough to cross the Atlantic and there's nothing in the way in the path of the beam.

How come I can't see Mount Everest from Texas?

Because mount Everest is in Asia.
And?

Because the atmosphere blocks you from seeing it.

Funny, in your post that I quoted before your edit, which hasn't been edited itself, the word "curve" is not misspelled.

Um, yeah, because I edited it.

GeoGuy is saying that in his quote of your post, the word "curve" isn't misspelled, and edits to posts don't effect quotes on that post. I suggest you read your (edited) post and then GeoGuy's quote of that post.

Essentially, Occam's razor says that the least complicated theory is USUALLY right and is USUALLY the one you should believe in.

If they only catch one particle every 90 mins the sun will have change it's angle of reaction with the device significantly. So they need a computer to keep track of where the sun is and extrapolate by the angle of reaction in the chamber weather it came from the sun or not.

They turn the device on around midnight.

Technically that is called "speciation".  What I'm really interested in finding out is not what evolutionary biologists think are the possible forms of evolution, but what IDers think are the impossible forms of evolution.

IDers say that macroevolution doesn't happen.... so what exactly do they mean (i.e. what exactly doesn't happen) by that?

they believe that speciation doesnt occur

which is really silly when you look at the fossil record, but then again, there arent many things in ID that arent silly

I lot of people in this forum could say the same thing about FE.  :D

I could ask the same question of a RE. Why does Antarctica, in a RE model, stay frozen?

In an FE, satellites are still possible, but they'd have to keep changing direction so that they wouldn't fly away from the Earth.

Pretty much most of the major land masses. Africa, America, Australia (ok, so we're not a major land mass but we can get  > 50 c too). Not sure about Europe or Asia, though.

Are you saying that America is routinely completely > 40 c in temperature? As I'm writing this, parts of Maine are < 0 c.

"Nuklear" has a c, not a k in it.

How can you not have an explanation for it and present it as being true?

Please explain in what way that description was flawed.  Spotlight or no spotlight, the sun emits heat and light, how has it been doing so for so man billions years?

I don't present it as true, FE'ers on this forum take care of that. Anyway, how do you know that a spotlight sun is powered by nuclear energy?

Ever heard of Magellan something...he was the first to sail clear around the world and since then it has been done many times.

*Nobody ever "slipped" off the side of the world, now did they?

*In your model the North Pole is the center of the world....
where is the south pole then....underneath on the rearside?

*Speaking of rearside...what would be under there...just mud and tree roots stickin out here and there??

In reality i really don't care...its good that ppl question mainstream science theories such as the evolution fraud

As for me. i believe we all live in a yellow submarine

First off, you never answered my question. Second, there are an infinite number of south poles on a FE, all of which are on the ice wall. You can't fall off of the Earth because of the ice wall.

EDIT: Removed redundant [/quote].

Yes, it's on my computer. A FE doesn't necessarily disprove Google Earth, or vice versa, as the images could've been taken by planes.

What experiment would you do? Many RE'ers say things like this "proving" their position. Tell us the experiment so we can all do it at home.

While I found your article interesting, if the Earth is flat then it's probably fake. I say probably because maybe that's not a picture of the Sun at all. Maybe that's the power source that is powering the Earth?

Interesting thought. The FE power source has never really been figured out and has been the subject of very little debate.
