If I win the Mega Millions lottery tonight, I am chartering a shuttle with one of the private fledgling space agencies to go see what the Earth looks like. Who wants to go with me?

Assuming all of the arguments supporting flat earth theory are true, and that it actually is a government conspiracy, that still leaves me with one question... Why would the government want to cover it up? What do they have to gain? Sorry if I missed it, I didn't see that questions answered in the FAQ.
