I will double your cookie offer if you can write a formal proof one of the following:
    The Earth is round.
    The Earth is not flat.
    Daniel_is_not_flat is not a troll.

When does the pseudoscience of the FE society start?

I want to see their explanations for this.
And a half decent one for gravity discrepencies.
Imperious, choleric, irascible, extreme in everything, with a dissolute imagination the like of which has never been seen, atheistic to the point of fanaticism, there you have me in a nutshell.... Kill me again or take me as I am, for I shall not change.

FEers are ignoring the thread. Typical.  And they wonder why they get insulted all the time.

It's quite remarkable really that both Israel and Palestine have no qualms about slaughtering the crap out of each other - but they are perfectly willing to work together jovially and hide a secret that wouldn't make much difference to the world. -rdethgy

Do a search.

We've had users attempt to reproduce the effect from home with a long exposure time. The results were in favor of a flat earth.

The results were faked.    :!:

edit: And those results aren't in the favor of a flat Earth. They're in favor of a non-existent Earth. The stars obviously move across the sky throughout the night. Jeebus.

And it was strangely nostalgic to see those posts from before Masterchief and midgard "converted".

Plus, not only was there only one picture in favor of a Flat Earth in that thread, but there was a perfectly nonblurred cloud in it.  The cloud would have moved had it been a long-term exposure, as it was supposed to be.

Tom Bishop, I'm bringing you down.

I've taken countless pictures of that sort.  I noticed star trails when I was 7.  I was trying to take a picture of some trees during the night.   They exist.  As a matter of fact, that is what first interested me in atronomy, and later my interest in astrophysics.  That must suck, being out smarted by a seven year old.

So, why don't you get a camera, a tripod, and some film and head out into a rural area.  To make sure you don't fake it, then I would need to see still stars and a moon trail (the moon does move in the FE model, correct?).

It should take me about 20 minutes, but before I get going I know I must assume the following:

Newton's Second Law,
Newton's Universal Law of Gravitation,
objects accelerate at 9.8 m/s2.

Also, I prefer sequent calculus.  Are these acceptable terms?

The question was directed towards Daniel, but I would still love to see each (especially the third) from you.  you probably will have to make a few more assumptions than that, but we'll see.
