Philosophy, Religion & Society / Kim Jong Un in vegetative state
« on: April 25, 2020, 07:25:58 AM »
https://www.jpost.com/international/china-sent-team-with-medical-experts-to-advise-on-nkoreas-kim-625831

"North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's health is reportedly in a vegetative state after undergoing a failed cardiovascular procedure earlier this month, according to the medical team treating him."

I think is big news if it turns out to be true. We can only hope a new leader emerges who cares about the people.

While working hard I found an old picture of what FES looked like in 2007. As a bonus I think it's from when tom rejoined after he was banned.

Philosophy, Religion & Society / Turkey is moving backwards.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7920157/Marry-rapist-allows-abusers-avoid-punishment-law-debated-Turkish-MPs.html

Quote
'Marry your rapist' law which allows men who have sex with girls under 18 to avoid punishment if they marry their victims will be considered by Turkish MPs

This is unacceptable. It’s 2020. The Old religious ideas of marrying a6 year old has no place in today’s society. If this passes I suggest a 100 year long import export ban on Turkey.

What post was I banned for? I received  a warning for a post. But then later banned with no new warning. Just wondering.

Edit: What post was the warning for? It wasn’t listed this time.

Wise recently claimed electric motors require oxygen to work. As such this thread is for the discussion of the alternative theory of electricity, the one where it requires oxygen.

Wise may you explain your alternative theory of electricity requiring oxygen?

Suggestions & Concerns / Regarding Papa Legba.
« on: July 29, 2016, 02:31:46 PM »
Can we get him dealt with?
He started this thread:
https://www.theflatearthsociety.org/forum/index.php?topic=67543.msg1804410#new

In the thread he asked "Show me ONE solar eclipse diagram that's drawn to scale please."
origamiscienceguy gives him a link to a to scale experiment. Then papa responds with this:

'We represent the moon as a small styrofoam ball... For the sun, we use the actual object'...

LOL!!!

Any chance of fucking off & stopping wasting my time with bullshit?

Also reported btw.

I mean really, Papa clearly doesn't want to be here.

He is up to his old tricks. I think pongo edited his posts last time. Obviously he didn't learn anything.

Now, scale this up.
Can't be done reliably. The increased size means a cubed force is required. Steel's melting temperature is far from the cube of copper's, and someyhing can be damaged without melting so that's irrelevant anyway. The increased amount of thrust is the point. It would shatter anything. Go stand under a rocket.

OMG!  Why doesn't my car explode when I turn the ignition.
Do you understand the concept of scale? Have you read a single fucking post in this thread? DOes it make you feel smart to repeat shit I've already dealt with with no new additions? Moron.

Suggestions & Concerns / Breach of personal information
« on: May 13, 2013, 04:41:21 PM »
Quote from: Pongo
Posting of personal information is against the rules and it is perfectly reasonable of Thork to request that it be removed. Even if information is shared on another medium, it does not mean that it is okay to mirror that information wherever you wish. In the future if you want to post someone's image or other information, you should seek their permission. Lets consider this a general warning and reminder of the "personal information" rules of the board. I'm locking this thread as posting private information is not a topic under discussion. In the future, if personal information is posted, please start a new thread or PM any moderator.
As per Pongo.
Thork breaking the rules after he started a thread about the same thing.
http://www.theflatearthsociety.org/forum/index.php/topic,58639.msg1492463.html#msg1492463
I expect a ban. He started a thread about a breach of personal information and then does the exact same thing. He wants to be a moderator then why is he breaking the rules he wants inforced?

Pizzaplanet doing it multiple times. Link to when he did it after Thorks's thread. It should be a ban as he posted in Thork's thread, and he posted it up in Technical support. Plus is past ban history.

http://www.theflatearthsociety.org/forum/index.php/topic,58563.msg1489905.html#msg1489905

Saddam doing it many times before Thork's thread. On such post. I expect him to be warned.
http://www.theflatearthsociety.org/forum/index.php/topic,56590.msg1454811.html#msg1454811

A moderator doing it. Roundy the Truthinessist should be warned. What make him so special he doesn't have to follow the rules?
http://www.theflatearthsociety.org/forum/index.php/topic,23272.msg1379038.html#msg1379038

Jroa doing it. I expect him to be warned.
http://www.theflatearthsociety.org/forum/index.php/topic,37660.msg1366196.html#msg1366196

Blanko doing it.

That thread has a bunch.

Mugthulhu
http://www.theflatearthsociety.org/forum/index.php/topic,57333.msg1440117.html#msg1440117

Probably more people.
And since warnings will be issued I expect the next time either the link or the picture is posted, the poster will be banned for an amount of time.

I don't know if it has been asked about or is a known issue, but it's annying when I have a long response typed out and go to post and get the message "Not Acceptable

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /forum/index.php could not be found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."
and then lose everything I typed.

Flat Earth Debate / Mythbusters did the moon landing
« on: August 27, 2008, 07:07:46 PM »
I didn't catch it all but they were busting myths dealing with NASA faking the moon landings.
Every single myth they did was busted.
I caught it late.  The ones I saw:
A myth dealing with the flag.
Faking moon walking.
Also they did shine a laser at the moon to see if reflectors had been planted.

I think they also did the shadows being wrong.

As said, all myths were busted.

What happens now?  They were wrong?

Flat Earth Debate / Dark Energy revisited 2
« on: August 13, 2008, 09:42:03 PM »
Quote from: Christopher

The point is that there is no place in the universe where there is a complete, or perfect vacuum. There will always be photons there (passing through), and the dark energy which in quantum mechanics is what's making so-called virtual particles to be created, and immediately destroyed. It doesn't say that dark energy isn't where there is visible matter.

Also that would be stupid, because if there were a perfect vacuum "under" the earth, the dark energy would only be able to affect a layer of 1 atom around the earth. This layer would be nowhere near strong enough to maintain a acceleration of 9.8 m/s. This layer would be immediately pushed into the earth, and then dark energy would stop affecting it, and "attack" another layer. This will not sum up to an acceleration of the earth, but rather a sort of slow mixing of maybe the bottom two inches or so of matter, which would cause it to heat up and eventually vaporize. This would eventually "eat" up the whole earth.

That is why it is impossible in your FE-model that dark energy can only exist in vacuum.

Since Robosteve pussed out on his crappy theory, I want to bring this into its own thread.  I'm still waiting as to why the UA only accelerates the earth and everything we see in space, but stops at the atmosphere.

Theengineer, this is a legit topic.  Just because the FET cannot explain it, does not mean it should be closed.

Flat Earth Debate / Offical answers to Levee's thread thread
« on: March 01, 2008, 10:45:34 AM »
This is the official thread to answer levee's random false statements in his locked thread.
I will start

1.  Optics and mirages(par his own links) can clearly explain every single picture he posts that are supposed to show no curvature.
2.  Tesla's death ray cannot hold satellites up as it was never made.  Tesla also supposedly made a matter transport like you see in startrek.
3.  Radiation front he sun is present in outside the atmosphere becasue there is no atmosphere to stop it.  Its not becasue space is radioactive.
4.  The aether still has never been found.  Einstein was not always right.
5.  Redshifts are from what we think they are, a moving object.  You hear a Doppler shift every day.  Aether has nothing to do with them.
6.  Solar and lunar eclipses have never happened at the same time.
7.  The big bang explains the origins of our universe, planets, stars, and our sun just fine.
8.  We know how the sun works.  Someone who has never even studied the sun cannot magically disprove it with what he says.

If you want me to own anything levee says, just ask.  Also you can own anything he says in this thread,

Flat Earth Q&A / The Universe
« on: July 10, 2007, 06:31:37 PM »
Anyone else watching it or watch it?  Its on the history channel.  The episode on now is talking about how the earth was formed.  And strangely enough, they didn't show a flat earth.  The show basically disproves the FET so I'm assuming Tom, TheEngineer and a few others are deficiently not watching it.
I due know all they are talking about are just “theories” but their theories are a little different then the ones on here.  Basically they actually do experiments.

If there is a gravity force, how did the moon not crash into earth a long long time ago?
Post your responces to narcberry here:
My answer.  Orbit. Gravitation causes the moon to orbit.

Technology, Science & Alt Science / ice vs water
« on: July 06, 2007, 11:37:51 AM »
Since Bushido had his thread deleted/moved so I cant see it/moved so no one can see it I will explain here why mass rises as energy rises.

Ok, E=gamma mc2 but I am talking about rest mass so gamma goes away to leave E=mc2
So E/c2=m.  So increase the value of E and what happens?  Thats right m must also increase and since m is mass, that makes mass have increase.  However since you are dividing by c2 where c is the speed of light, it is a really small increase.
So does divito or anyone else have a question on why 1 kilogram of ice would mass less then the water it melts too?

The Lounge / Iphone thread
« on: June 30, 2007, 01:36:31 PM »
There was no Iphone thread so I will start one.
I hate apple but I would buy an iphone if I had at&t.  I waited in line for 5 hours, then my friend came and replaced me since he was buying the phone.  After 30 minutes of trying to get himself off his parents plan and on to his own he had to give up because they were closed.  He then just said forget it, and plugged it into his mac.  He entered his number and some few other things then hit activate.  It took less then 3 minutes and he was using his iphone.  I played around with it some, it was really nice.  The typing part is crazy, its a guaranty you will hit the wrong letter while typing.  The phone then changes the word to what you meant automatically.
