Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube have all caved to Erdogan's demands. Wikipedia fought back, and was blocked from Turkey for two or three years. idk what it is about Turkey that makes all these companies obey. Are they super important to the internet economy?
Anyway, I'm not surprised that the media, and Elon haters in general, seem to be more angry with Elon Musk than with a judge threatening Twitter employees in Brazil. It's like a knee jerk reaction anytime anyone thinks the enemy is "far right".
Also, idk what disinformation was censored, but I do know just normal political conversations about the trans issue were censored before Musk bought Twitter. You'd have to actually pay attention to something besides the msm to know, though.
