Ever noticed that the rivers in the Americas are so much wider than in Europe and Asia and Africa?
? We have great big wide rivers like the Amazon (widest in the world), St Lawrence, missippi. And the reason for this is because they aren't rivers, there part of the Atlantic/Pacific ocean. In a way, the Americas don't exist (as a continent). There a bunch of islands!! The idea of a huge continent not being found until 1492 is ludacris, and they werent found because they were so remote!!!!! You can reach Asia from Europe by sail easily, that is if you cross the right places. People kept on hitting land in the unknown islands and blatantly assumed it was a huge mega-continent. I live in the Americas myself but I know I live one of many islands between Europe and Asia. Try looking at the Erdapfel globe, it will give you a good idea of what the world really looks like (except it shows it as round and not having the noticeable American islands

Anyhoo, due to Erica's incompetence I conclude that the land masses named after her poor attempt at self introduction are islands not continents. I can tell she can confuse a river with an Atlantic Pacific ocean easily.

The different island shells drifted together because of high pressure from the Atlantic and Pacific currents, which forced the island masses together, as they crushed deep under the sea surface, causing narrow beaches to collide and the grand canion. Amd Mount St. Helen's.
These are NOT RIVERS!! They are water masses between islands that were narrowed down gradually when islands pressed together from external causes. This discovery is pure unadulterated hardcore BDSM Brilliance!!

Since the islands are wider under the sea than they are above see, they could not crash into each other completely forming a larger island, so the water near their beaches remained separated from both beaches, giving the untrained eye the illusion of a 'giant river'.
