And if their buoyancy force is equal to the gravity force? Did you skip that part in the reading?

I haven't really been listening to you. Besides, it's just satire. You can't possibly be serious.

why don't they float away?

Gravity.

Of course I am answering this assuming you weren't an idiot.

That would certainly explain the tangles, god damn hair fairies.

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Earths curve
« on: September 17, 2007, 09:53:23 PM »
Every single person on earth sees a Flat Earth every day of their life.

That's all one is capable of seeing. The Earth is so big that from standing on the ground looking out at it, you only see flat. Anyone with an open mind would of course know that just because you SEE it as flat doesn't mean it is. A different perspective can change everything. We should fly you to the moon.

The "FLY TOM TO THE MOON FOUNDATION". It should only cost about 29,000,000 dollars, depending on going rates. I think we should ask Diego or whatever his name is for a generous donation. He seems to be very wealthy considering he has plans to dig through the Earth.

Chances are someone will assassinate him, or he will die of a heart attack from all of that hate stored in there. I feel bad for the old man, to be honest.

Also is all of that white space really necessary?

I assure you, the vast majority of us here believe the same thing.

I don't doubt that, but I guess I would expect there to be intolerance of those who believe otherwise. Or rather, that those who do believe otherwise wouldn't bother to keep coming here. However I do notice that it is very entertaining.

They trashed their own thread...  ???

I trashed nothing.

Also, is there some grand dissension among the ranks here? I am noticing that there are many long term members here that completely disagree with the philosophies this forum is based on.

The FE is a disk.  I know because it is my purpose to know.

Yeah there is no way this site isn't a joke.

Just because sustained space flight is not possible does not mean you can't get up there.

So what makes the flat Earth pictures real (which by the way I haven't seen any), but the round Earth pictures fake?...Nevermind. Don't even bother answering that question.

That's not the shape of the flat Earth.
What is? More importantly, how do you know?

Why not?

SATELLITES DON'T EXIST. NASA is a conspiracy, my friend. A conspiracy...You couldn't take a shot like that from a PLANE.

The Ice Wall is free for anyone to visit and study.

Then why hasn't anybody done that?

From our perspective. However, the universe is much bigger than that, good sir.

As for evidence of a round Earth, it wouldn't matter. You'd just pass it off as a part of the big conspiracy.

Wait, so you came here to insult our beliefs when you yourself have no actual evidence to support your hypothetical model of the earth?

I don't believe I have insulted your beliefs. I would give you pictures of the round Earth, but you would pass it off as fake so why bother? Besides it's already been said. I haven't seen the Earth from my own perspective from space, but a flat Earth defies physics.

Also, a bunch of books doesn't do it for me.

What if I see mountains?

Try looking in another direction then. Do you see flat or round?

Hence, we have observational evidence that the earth is flat.

Where is the ice walls on the right and left sides of the image? Do you expect me to believe that's real?

More importantly, you couldn't take a picture like that. You can't get that high up.

You demand respect?  YOU DEMAND RESPECT?  You won't get it.  We answer these obvious questions every single day.  Search around the site.

I am not going to hurt my brain reading a bunch of communist lies! I would must rather hear the communist lies when it is directed at me.

I think you laddies are giving the government (although I'm sure for a global conspiracy there needs to be more than one involved) too much credit.

Naivety is for horses.

Now now, I am sure horses can appreciate complexity too. After all, I can talk to them.

If you think Google is just a search engine, then you're a bigger idiot than I thought.

Okay, okay. You got me there. Google is a lot more than a search engine. They have many features! Like searching for video, books, finance information...You have a google blogger, google maps, google earth, google e-mail...They are a lot of things. So yeah...

Flat Earth Q&A / I am deeply curious about all of this.
« on: September 16, 2007, 05:19:51 PM »
First things first. Due to me being selfish, despite any FAQ or previously answered questions, I want my questions answered personally. So any macros or obnoxious pictures ridiculing me and then telling me to go read something else aren't necessary. I DEMAND RESPECT.

Anyway. I mean no harm in posting this. I am just genuinely curious about this subject matter. The theory of a Flat Earth. The first thing that comes to my mind when I think this is "satire of ignorant times from hundreds of years ago". It has to be a joke. Now unless you guys are just really clever, it appears to me that you do indeed believe this theory to be absolute. Which brings me to the next thing on my mind. "Why?" Something I'm sure the lot of you hear quite often. Why believe in a Flat Earth, despite the endless supply of physical and scientific evidence to prove otherwise. The only answer that seems to be given is that it's all a big global conspiracy. I for one don't see the logic in if you deny it, it suddenly becomes a conspiracy. What makes it a conspiracy? Who is involved in this conspiracy and why? For money? I'm not quite sure of the money one could get out of this, calling the Earth round. I just don't know, which is why I am here.
NASA is apparently in on the conspiracy, and at the same time, not in existence. All photos that attempt to disprove the Flat Earth theory are obviously manipulated as a part of "the conspiracy". It just doesn't add up. I can go around calling everything in existence to be a part of some global scam. It doesn't mean I am right. Why do we breathe oxygen? How do I know it's oxygen? I was only told by other people it was oxygen. I think it's methane we breathe to stay alive from all these damn cows...Something stupid like that. AIR IS A CONSPIRACY...I am not sure where I am going with that.

Anyway, and what is this about a "giant" ice wall? That is apparently ever regulating in size? Sometimes it's 150FT tall, hundreds of miles long, other times it's 50,000 feet tall and never-ending...Which is it? Or have any of you even seen this barrier and only assume it's there so you can try and live your lives without wondering anymore. I don't know. Also, where is this wall? Is it near Hawaii? It can't be, I flew to Hawaii and I saw no hide nor hair of it. Besides it's too hot there for an Ice Wall to exist anyway. Tee hee.

I think that you should all take a trip from...Where-ever you are, and go West to Japan. From Japan, keep going West back to your starting point. Bring a compass too in case you think they are leading you on due to the conspiracy. If you make it back without seeing a wall, you win. If you see a wall, get pictures for me. If you crash into the wall, get pictures for me. If you get shot down by one of the 100 helicopters patrolling the wall, get pictures for me.
Hell, does anyone even have any evidence to support this theory? I mean you can spin scientific rhetoric to anyone, I'm talking REAL EVIDENCE. How about pictures of this Earth, from satellites...Oh wait they don't exist. How about from those rockets that take off towards the sky...Oh wait they don't exist. I mean, I don't get it. Denying everything else doesn't mean what you believe is right. I JUST DON'T GET IT, FRIENDS. Please, someone. Help me understand!

I haven't been to space [due to it obviously being impossible], and I'm sure none of you have either [due to it obviously being impossible]. I NEED YOU TO SHOW ME A FLAT EARTH.

Thanks.

P.S. I meant no offense in this post, I am only inquiring about this subject.

Also, you seriously think that the government could shut down Google? And you think it'd be WORTH it? Come on now.

Uh, yes they could. Would it be worth it? I don't see why. It's just a search engine.

More importantly, good luck with that drilling project. I personally would use those trillions upon trillions (I'm being VERY generous here) of dollars to cure some disease or end world hunger. As for the spirit of wanting to drill that far and the immortality to survive the trip, well if you could donate that I'm sure it could go to better use.
