Those equations are not true. Those are opposite momentums not equal ones. the 1 kilogram mass and the point five, would hit and their momentums could cancel, meaning they are not equal. YOU LOSE. Also I know how to capitalize, you do not know how to make an equation, who wins?

Let me give you an example of how this equation is supposed to work, dimwit.

Two objects of equal weight have a totally elastic collision. At what velocities/momentum do they bounce off at? (really simple example)

So, m1 = 5kg, m2 = 5kg, and v1 and v2 are their velocities.

m1v1 = -m2v2

5kg*3m/s = -5kg*-3m/s

15kg*m/s = 15kg*m/s

Ta-fucking-da. Opposite velocities, idiot, have opposing signs.

smile you just ruined your point. So we will do you equation. One P has a positive value, the other a negative, it solves down to 1=1. Your example fails, because one of your velocities has a negative value, relative to the other.
