Bending of Starlight
« on: April 25, 2007, 11:32:41 AM »
I was just thinking:
If all the planets and the earth were accelerating, and I assume that all the planets in our solar system are bigger than the sun, then their gravitation would bend starlight moreso than the sun.
Since this would be observable I imagibe you could prove or disprove if the earth is flat or not using this technique.
Right?
"Oh, judge, your damn laws: the good people don't need them and the bad people don't follow them so what good are they?"

Right?
Or you could just look at any photo of the Earth being round...
But no! The FEers are stupid enough to think that the government would want to make people think the Earth is round with no motive, so every photo from space must be fake! Everyone who's been there lies!

No they say the planets are smaller then the sun.
In reality astronomers use the light bending around objects to see whats behind the massive object.

Where does it say that the planets are smaller than the sun?
And the planets in the round earth theory are still too small lto have any noticable effect upon starlight I believe.
And of course no reply from no FEer

I like your sig. Take a look at it, read the FAQ.

1. Read FAQ
2. Learn we dont believe in gravity.
3. Kick yourself for introducing problems that dont exist.

You don't believe in gravity?
Come on everyone, back away slowly...

A lot of people here don't believe in gravity

There's many reasons Tom says to read the FAQ, you are one of them.

I meant that they say planets are smaller then 32 miles wide.  The transit of planets across the sun made the fe'es have to come up with this.
According to wiki, solar eclipses led a guy to come up with the idea of gravitational lens.

So, what is the pull of gravity that's keeping us here? More magnets as Tom would say?
Why should I read an FAQ of absolute rubbish anyway?

Because reading the FAQ stops you asking some of the stupider questions

Ok, stops you asking the more annoying questions, better?

And in which case, why are you here?

Agreed.  The FAQ only leads to more questions.

I noticed that.  You made references to "acceleration" and "gravitation", NOT gravity, which narcberry, stupid little dolt that she is, didn't pick up on.  So her suggestion to read the FAQs only served to make her look even more ignorant.

And I wasn't sure that was possible.  Good job!

Does it? As I said in another thread, when FEers "solve" a problem they create two more. So it;s either one question you can put up with or hundreds.

And in which case, why are you here?
Because the idea that anyone can believe the Earth is flat is hilarious.

plus, if you believe in gravitation, gravity is just a name for it between you and earth

I'm pretty sure gravity is an explanation for the occurance of gravitation.

Thing is there's hardly any point asking the questions and having the arguments because neither side gives in. It just goes on and on and on

And coming here because you think it's hilarious shows you are already dead set against the beliefs a few people here hold so you won't listen to them anyway. So no point unless you really are just here to mock.
