I just don't understand this article.

So let me get this straight. In order to get out of military service, all you need is a photo of yourself doing something "homosexual" like kissing a guy or dressing as a woman or in extreme cases being bummed. Now my question. Hasn't photoshop reached Turkey yet?

I'm sensing a business opportunity here. Send me a picture your face and $100 and I will send you a picture of yourself as "the passive partner" or something. Boom. Even straight people can avoid service now.

Turkey has such a repressive culture that I would guess being discharged for homosexuality has far reaching social repercussions that extend outside the armed services.

All men are conscripted in Turkey, the only men they won't take are the passive homosexuals. They take bisexuals and aggressive homosexuals, just not the passive ones, cause they can't fight. I'm sure in a conscripted country like that they get a lot of men who don't want to go to war and so they need pictures to prove it. Makes sense.
