The mountains in the foreground are almost perpendicular to the angle of view. Therefore, for the disc to continue on as a flat disc, the horizon would not be visible in this picture. The horizon is too close and the lit cities near the edge of the disc would have to actually be near the edge of the disc. The satelitte itself would be barely 200km from the edge.
The surface has to be curved, not just the horizon.
