We'll let Jura decide when to start the game.

I just sent boydster another email. I know it sometimes takes him awhile to read his messages.

I step out into the dank, foggy air on a dark night just after a strong rainfall, the smell of moss in the air.

"It's werepenguin huntin time, I reckon"

Philosophy, Religion & Society / Re: Why Do You Support Kamala Harris?
« on: August 01, 2024, 02:50:59 PM »
She's not looking to undermine American democracy
She's not even the choice of anyone who has made a vote for a presidential candidate in this election cycle.

She has made no petitions to run for the office.

Not one primary vote cast for her in any state.

GTFO.
Weird, the people on the D side of the aisle along with more and more of the center seem to be pretty satisfied, yet you are not. Anyway. Kamala continues to shine and spread a message of positivity, which continues to be a breath of fresh air. Loved the address she made to teachers. And I love that she doesn't hesitate to play offense against Fashy McFashface. I know Kamala is ready to show up to debates and bring receipts. That's another reason I support her.

God does not intervene.
Not with that attitude! You must do the ritual cleansing. Do you know any local Levites by any chance? Have you a prophet nearby?
No, I do not, even a standart jew around me. Guess you are mocking.
You don't need a Jew, necessarily. There are prophets of all walks. Have you had any especially vivid dreams lately? You could be the very prophet you seek...

Also, I work with copiers and printers and can assure you that they are, indeed, spying on you.
Even HP?! Say it ain't so!

But double also, people still categorize enterprise copiers differently than multifunction printers. Mostly for a financial incentive, but still, they sell them differently (usually via leases with maintenance contracts and not as a channel-based commodity like other typical SFP/MFPs). I always found that weird and frustrating when I was in that world. Granted, the managed print footprint is only getting bigger, but Xerox is an example that stills plays in a different space than the likes of Lexmark and HP, for the most part

God does this when he is mad at you. This is well known. You must get right with God and then your skin will be blemish free. Remember the Miriam story? Repent, atone!

She's advocating for women's rights
She's advocating for fair pay for teachers
She's saying Israel needs to stop fucking around so much
She's advocating for worker's rights
She's advocating universal healthcare
She's not looking to undermine American democracy, the like of which a prior president seemed to approve on a certain January 6th
She has not actively worked in the past to undermine American democracy, as a prior president seemed to do on a certain January 6th

I think she has the best interests of the nation in mind when it comes to making leadership decisions, even if I might disagree with her reasoning sometimes. I don't think the opposing candidate with a realistic chance of winning has the best interests of the nation in mind when it comes to making leadership decisions, and so even in the rare circumstance when I might agree with that candidate, I immediately question the sanity and humanity of my position because it has been the standard operating procedure that, much like Eric Cartman, I feel like agreements with the other candidate tend to serve as an illustration of something I need to work on improving in myself.

I support the candidate that conducts theirself like an adult and has expressed clear positions that I am in support of. Easy choice to make, really.

Vote for me and you won't have to vote anymore.

That doesn't sound at all ominous.

This, plus this whole "I only want to be a dictator on Day One," make for a pretty interesting pairing of statements. I don't know of any other dictators that have deposed themselves under terms that could in any way be described as amicable between the former dictator and the peasants that they ruled over. Maybe I'm mistaken on that, but I rather think any counterexamples can serve as an exceptions of such rarity that they better demonstrates the rule than disprove it.

So he'll be a dictator by his own admitted ambitions on day one of his presidency. And we're supposed to believe that, after the first day, he'd willingly give up those powers, despite basically all of history demonstrating the opposite to be more likely, so let's toss out that assumption. And also, according to the very same source, he'll make sure we never have to worry about voting again. I mean, he's laying it all out for the world to see. All anyone needs to do is pay attention.

Arizona House GOP fails to expel Democrat over Bible prank  https://www.npr.org/2023/06/13/1182022488/arizona-house-censure-expulsion-bible-prank-ethics-investigation

Summary:
Guy hides bibles under seat cushions.
Republicans explode in fury as they may have sat on it.  Considering this to be an extrmely offensive act in Christianity.  Vote to ban pankster from the government.

Its like he burned the Koran in an islamic country....
Her name is Stephanie Stahl Hamilton. When does it say she burned a Koran in an Islamic country? I'm not seeing that in the article. The only reference to the Koran at all actually pointed out how ridiculous it was that other legislators had indicated her actions would have been offensive even if she had done her prank with another holy book, but there were specifically no other holy books in the members lounge where this happened. Which is kind of a problem, in that we're not supposed to be favoring any particular religion or holy book or anything else in state or federal government in the US. But that notwithstanding, you said "he" (meaning she) burned a Koran, and did so in an Islamic country, and I'm just not seeing that.

And sitting in those same secular halls, one of those Republicans asked who's reputation they cared more about - God's or Stephanie's - as if worrying about God's reputation when it comes to running a state legislature should even come up for conversation.

Okay, so who the fuck is this?

Cos it ain't Boystar. WISE!
It's a bit early where I'm at still and the caffeine isn't coursing through my veins nearly heavily enough for things like "reading" and "comprehension," ok? I want to hit my keyboard furiously and let the letters fall where they may, consequences be damned!

I was making an analogy. >_>
You did see the bit of "like" right?

And yeah, messed up pronouns there.
Nope, I did not ;D I completely skipped the word "like" somehow and it definitely changed the tone of the entire post lol.

Anyway, she was acting childish and doesn't come out of this looking like she made a really great and cutting prank. And all the pearl-clutching "oh mylanta, I done desecrated a bible" is more than a bit much and maybe just get your damn holy books out of the halls of government thank you very much. A stupid prank to point out a stupid hypocrisy that wasn't even an unknown hypocrisy needing the harsh light of reality shown upon it.

Will this help Stahl-Hamilton getting any actual legislating done? Probably not, and it'll probably make it harder in fact.

edit to add: Also, sorry for not taking a second to understand your post properly

I feel obligated to say, so far my immortality is still working out. I haven't died a single time since becoming immortal and it doesn't seem to be letting up
And how do we know if the AI killed you and replaced you with an organism that looked exactly like you and it managed you from afar? This needs to be tested, and the person who can perform this test, realdann, is around forum these days. I think we will soon find out the answers to these questions.

Are you really you? Or was you killed and replaced by an angry globalist, like it happened to the flat-earth ex scientist John Davis? Bythe way RIP real John.
Wait a tic... ARE YOU LOOKING AT ME RIGHT NOW??

I don't have a sandbox SMF set up anymore to even try to help point you in the right direction. But the smiley is there, it shouldn't need to be reuploaded, it should just need to be remapped to the key binding that looks like the crying face.
