Flat Earth Q&A / Celestial gravity

Both the Earth and celestial objects are being forced upwards by UA at the same rate, so because of this they should be relatively equidistant from each other. But the celestial heavens have a gravitational pull, thus they should be pulling themselves into the Earth.

What gives?

Flat Earth General / Why do the FES hate the idea of a round Earth?

What I find quite funny is that the Flat Earth Movement will never get far enough to ever become the dominating theory. It has nothing to do with the rest of the world being too ignorant of themselves or anything like that, it's just has way too many holes given its immediate assumption that the Earth is flat. There are just too many inaccuracies for it to be taken seriously.

Einstein's theory of special relativity was a new radical idea that took off because of the failure in the michelson-morley experiment. It started with a simple assumption that the speed of light is constant in every frame of reference. This in itself had many consequences that was completely new to the science community, but the difference between this theory and the FET is that it didn't have any holes. It made sense. It didn't contradict any other scientific laws.

The FET was born because initially it looked flat. With this starting point, all the consequences thereof that have grown into the modern FET still don't coincide well with what has been observed to be fact. At this point in human's history, the only reason FES is still alive is because of ignorance.

Flat Earth Debate / FES standing the test of time?

I've read through the FAQ and quite a few debates so as to know what I'm dealing with. My first intentions were to come here and argue countless points for a round Earth, but seeing as how most - if not all - of the mountains of evidence have either been explained with some cute theories or simply labelled as being part of a big conspiracy, then I would much rather avoid another one of those threads and instead come here to simply ask what will happen for the future of the FES as science's technology increases, it soon becomes an affordable trip for an average family to take a trip into space and when all the conclusive data that proves the Earth is round becomes just that much more conclusive.

At what point does the FES say "ok enough is enough, the Earth is obviously round, and we knew it deep within ourselves many years ago - only our hate for the government and our longing for a unique identity has kept us going for so long".

Or... will new theories arise to explain all the new mountains of evidence? By which at some point the only explanation left for believing in a flat Earth is that life is in fact all an illusion.
