Flat Earth Debate / Re: Proof... Round Earth - Real Proof
« on: May 07, 2007, 07:15:55 PM »
Photos can easily be faked. Videos not so easily, but look at Star Wars, Ep. III...a lot of the stuff in there looks pretty real, but almost all of it is CGI animation! If a few people with lots of money can make a movie look so realistic, I highly doubt the government couldn't do even better.

Flat Earth Q&A / FE space missions

Then why don't you guys get
off your lazy asses and go up
into space yourselves.

that is..if there are more members of this
"society" then the people on this forum
We don't have the billions of dollars necessary for a mission into space. Of course, if you'd like to fund such an expadition..  :D

Maybe he's saying that it's not possible to launch a space craft because Angelina Jolie's boobs keep getting in the way?
Very possible...

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Gravity
« on: January 24, 2007, 07:53:27 PM »
Quote from: "MennoMan"
Given that the FE explanation for the sensation commonly known as gravity (Earth is accelerating upwards) is based primarily on Einstein's theories of relativity, why don't you accept any of the rest of his work?
In other words, isn't it hypocritical to accept a small part of modern science simply because it is compatible with your theory, but reject virtually all else?

Oh, and just out of curiosity, what do FE people believe is outside the dome of the sky? and how did this Earth come to be?
He was right about some things, but wrong about some others. Like his Theory of Everything which he spent the last half of his life trying unsuccessfully to get right. And outside of the earth's atmosphere is, I believe, the sun and moon. The sun and moon are approximatly 3,000 miles in diameter.

cavendish experiment = proof that FE acceleration gravity crap is BOLLOX
You spelt "Bullocks" wrong.

We have plenty of other proof besides the conspiracy. If you just listened to what we said maybe you'd know!

Flat Earth Q&A / NASA Questions

Quote from: "(S)aint"
ok ill give you that.

but why did they start in the first place?
They didn't find out about this until Sputnik was launched and the space age began...for quite a while, they had been claiming the earth was round. Now, knowing that it's flat, they all say a collective "whoops!". But rather than embaress themselves, they begin covering things up...when they realize how expensive and troublesome this will be, it's to late; they're in to deep. That's how I see it, at least.

Flat Earth Q&A / NASA Questions

like what?

credibility?

trust me, with the US Gov't

one more can't hurt
Heh, probably not...but this would be a huge embaressment. HUGE. And they're already in to deep; if the people can't trust the government to be truthful about THIS, what can they trust them to be truthful about? The fact that the earth is flat won't be the big smack in the face for the government; it will be the air of deceit that pervades their image.

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Why So Pessimistic?
« on: January 22, 2007, 07:19:35 PM »

Why are you FE’s so distrusting of authoritarian figures and pessimistic in 99.99% of modern science. That’s all I want to know
*Sigh* We aren't distrusting of authoritarian figures. It's just like this; the earth is flat. The government says it's round. They have the resources to know it is flat, so they must obviously be lying. We aren't conspiracy mongers, it's just the only explanation that makes sense. And I'm quite sure that a bit less than 99.99% of all science is against us...we have our own proof, so we must have at least 20% of that 99.99%...probably closer to 25%. Besides, yesterday used to be the present...think of all the then-modern scientists who were proven to be horendously wrong! The truth is, this matter of our earth's shape is still very much up in the air. Just because the majority says it is round today doesn't mean it really is. Nature doesn't give in to trends.

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: spotlight

Q: Think about it. If the earth was flat then the sun could never shine on any part of the south pole or "ice wall" for 24 hours or more, Seen as the "ice wall" encircles the earth and the sun keeps circling close to and then far away from it.

Q: The sun is a spotlight yes? Because the only way in which the Flat earth model can possibly work is using that theory. Well as the rest of the planets are also lit up by the sun this is obviously incorrect. As the sun therefore emits light in every direction the flat earth model does not work.

Question 1-I do not have an answer for that. I don't know very much about the FE theory as I am a new convert, but I'm sure someone else may answer it for you.

Question 2-The other planets give off their own light, much like the moon.

Flat Earth Q&A / Compromise; Earth is half round.
« on: January 21, 2007, 11:42:25 AM »
The Earth is entirely flat. NASA is involved in the conspiracy and their photos are fakes. Interesting idea, but the facts just don't line up with it. Sorry.
