Australia doesn't exist

Kangaroos live on the island people are told is Australia. If you travel to "Australia", this is where the plane will take you. The people who live on this island are raised to believe that they are somewhere they are not, and they accept it as true because they have no reason to doubt it.

Judging from this post, you must believe there is an island whose inhabitants and vistors believe is Australia, correct? Where kangaroos, wombats, and koala's live, yes? But, apparently they believe it is Australia when it is not actually where the island (continent, whatever) of Australia is supposed to be.

First question, are you impling that there is no 7,741,220 kmē (2,988,888 sq mi) island in the middle of the Pacific/Southern Ocean, and that "pretend" Australia is somewhere else?

Secondly, assuming you're correct and there is no island where Australia is perported to be, wouldn't an island with the Australian appearance, culture, flora, fauna, and a nation of people believing it is Australia...be enough to actually consider it Australia? These photos and videos that you claim have been faked by "the government" could have been taken at this "fake" Australia, thus making the photos not faked, just simply being taken at a different geographical location.

So your theory goes... Australia is not where it's said to be, but rather somewhere else that no-one knows of, and everyone who goes to/is in believes they're in the Pacific Ocean.
