Tom, what if FE was wrong and everything for RE is right? What if Rowbotham or anyone you use as evidence was wrong? Would you still believe FE, or would you finally accept RE?

Flat Earth Debate / How did the moon form?

I was watching a documentary about the four different theories that explain how the moon formed. The most excepted theory today is the impact theory where a Mars size planet impacted our earth X million years ago. Now if what I heard is true, the moon is also drifting away at an average of 3 cm a year. This is caused by the moon orbiting out of Earth's gravitational (to save The Engineer some time) pull. That means in a few 1000 years from now, solar eclipses won't show the diamond ring effect. Now for you FE'ers, primarily Tom, how did the moon form on FE and how would you explain the moon drifting away, if it is?

A bad title but the topic should prove a point.

Take a large object and move it across a long, flat as flat can be terrain. Have an observer look at the object. Move the large object over the flat terrain. Now with out any waves to obscure the viewer (as Tom B. mentioned), the viewer should see the object disappearing behind the horizon. To make it easier, put a mark on the object that can be seen easily regardless of distance. Once the mark is obscured by the horizon it should prove that earth is curved.

Flat Earth Debate / FE acceleration

If you drop a untampered, flat paper, it should fall slowly and curve off in a random direction. As I look at it, for FE acceleration would cause the the paper to meat with the earth at the same time as any other object would if they fell from the same distance. For RE gravity would cause the paper to fall but the air below the paper would slow it down. In other words air would have no affect in the FE acceleration.

The only thing I am applying is acceleration and gravity/gravitation.

As Narc would say, "Another victory for FE RE!"
