I'm going there for Christmas!  What should I do?
Normally when I'm not sure I just cop a feel.

Start an argument in a pub about whether or not Ireland should be part of the UK.
I'm going to side with the white supremacists.

Go to northern Ireland and convince them to give it back to the Irish.

I'm going to help you before Thork gets here, Ulster voted and decided to stay a member of the UK.

I agree. Southern Ireland needs to get off its high horse and join with the United Kingdom.
I'm going to side with the white supremacists.

I think we've made what you need to do quite clear. Ignite the revolution.

Yes, it's the part of Ireland that rejected its brethren and is standing in the way of a unified Europe. It's like a sore thumb on the western edge of the continent.
I'm going to side with the white supremacists.

Isnt a unified Europe one of the last signs of the apocalypse? I so, Ireland just may have saved the Earth.

Only if you believe in that crap. To the rest of us, the Republic of Ireland is a bunch of whiny penguins who want to keep filthy foreigners off their precious land.
I'm going to side with the white supremacists.

I have never been to Ireland, but I have seen pictures of my ancestral homeland Connacht which looks like a beautiful place - Glencar waterfall, Listoghil, the Aran islands and Dún Aonghasa look like nice places to visit if you're heading out that way. Again, I've never visited so don't take this as any sort of grounded recommendation.

And what is your stance on Ireland's membership in the United Kingdom?

Stay out of the cities as much as possible, and enjoy the countryside while it still exists.  Maybe one day you'll be able to regale your grandchildren with incredible stories of how the desolate wasteland known as Ireland was once in fact a beautiful country.
