Prominent FEers
« on: September 12, 2013, 10:38:27 PM »
Just came across interesting info that George Lucas is an FEer, so I thought it would be cool if people could name some other famous people in the world who are known FEers.

Current list:
George Lucas
Thomas Dolby
WEB Griffin

He was not serious when he talked about the end of the world in 2012 but he is an adamant believer that the world is flat, that Stonehenge was built by aliens, and that the sun revolves around the Earth.

I wonder whether he would fly Virgin Galactic when it's live. I can't wait to hear his reaction.

I wonder why he doesn't make a FE movie?

I can accept that he may believe that the sun revolves around the earth (as a globe) but I personally don't think that he believes that the earth is really flat. None of his works shows this.

He works in science fiction, none of it has to represent what he thinks of the world.
markjo, what force can not pass through a solid or liquid?
Magnetism for one and electric is the other.

I personally still don't believe it. If he himself says it to the media then probably there's some truth in it. Didn't he also predict the 2012 apocalypse and then retract it?

Because Terry Pratchett already called dibs on Discworld.

Probably the same reaction he'll have to an actual Jedi appearing in his living room. After all, they have the same probability of happening.

Virgin Galactic video windows will have Jedis appearing. Also the celebs inside will be given special cocktail beverages. Nothing they aren't used to already, of course.

The popular author WEB Griffin is a member of some Flat Earth Society or another.  Not this one, and he's never expressed interest that we know of, but we'd love to have him!

Withdrawn Wilson, not sure what I was thinking of at the time.

George Bernard Shaw
If we include dead ones then I guess the list can grow very big;  Mohammed Yusuf, Wilbur Glenn Voliva, Samuel Birley Rowbotham, and many other ancient figures
