Flat Earth Expeditions
« on: May 26, 2008, 06:13:53 AM »
So has anybody from the IFES actually tried making any treks to the edge of the Earth to try and prove their theories, or are they just gonna sit there telling everybody else how wrong they are?

Well, some of the FE'ers would like to take a vacation to the ice wall, but there is that nasty bit about being shot by the ice wall guards.  Also, they tend to be notorious cheapskates in that they would rather have Re'ers finance the expedition for them.  Unfortunately, RE'ers seem to be just as big a cheapskates as the FE'ers, so I guess nobody is going to the ice wall anytime soon.   :(

Edit: Darn you Gayer for beating me to punch.  >:(   But thanks for proving my point.  :D

Get sponorship... that's how most expeditions are funded.  If my local cricket club could organise a sponsored walk along the south coast of England then I'm sure your International society could raise a few quid to trek to the Ice wall.

Hows about your local cricket club sponsers me? The actual Flat Earth Society doesn't really exist at the moment, its been in hiatus since Charles Johnson died, I think, so there's no society to sponser me :(

Obviously you are unfamiliar with Robert Falcon Scott and the controversy surrounding his death.

How about Rodney Marks? Captain James Cook? Captain Charles Clerke?

All just coincidences I'm sure...

What in the hell are you talking about? He was murdered in Hawaii on his way back from the Antarctic. Clerke then took command and died shortly afterwards as well.
Was it really cold in Hawaii that day?

I don't blame the Hawaiians. Blame the members of the crew that ran while he tried to lead a small party forward.
