Title: Adam Sandler's latest train wreck

Why does Sandler keep making this shit?  It's not like he isn't capable of doing any better.

I'm just waiting for Adam Sandler to drop all the pretense and make Manchild: The Movie.

And for those of you who may have doubts about awful this movie will be, take a look at the trailer:

I especially enjoy the voice that Sandler puts on (apparently for the whole movie, too).  Is it an attempt to distract the audience from the actual material?

Though to be fair, Nicolas Cage turned down multiple roles, including Aragorn in LotR and Neo in The Matrix.

Cage isn't a bad actor, but he really needs to get a better agent.

Even in roles that don't suit him at all.

I disliked Cage in Face/Off, Bangkok Dangerous, Con Air, Ghost Rider, and Next. I did like him in Matchstick Men and The Family Man. Clearly adding a male identifier into the movie title balances his performance.

Also, Adam Sandler movie's suggest he has a very limited skill set. The voice and character he makes himself into are almost always the same. Of course, I had a similar theory about Jim Carey which was proved wrong by the Truman Show.

And yes, Raising Arizona is a fantastic film.

Robin Williams is another actor who's occasional serious roles are often far superior to the comic drek that they have been otherwise reduced to.

Williams is a good actor that chooses crap movies far too often.

Also, don't you mean 'whose'?

The Number 23, as well. The movie wasn't as great as the last two mentioned, but he definitely was able to do a more dramatic role well.

Spanglish handles its dramatic side fairly well, but it falls flat when it comes to the comedy.  So it depends on what you're looking for.

I haven't seen Reign Over Me, but I heard it was pretty good.
