We don't have any proof of the nonexistence of any of those, so why not just group them all together for the sake of convenience?

The only difference between god and creations is that almighty god was not created but he is the creator. Again we can never explain this but if god would make himself that means he was created before himself being created, we can't imagine having two hands and two legs and had soul, his soul was there then he created the body, the power...etc humans today cannot explain the soul what its exactly, how its created...etc there is no fact yet, that's only a soul, then how we could understand how is god? we know for the creations there is day and night, beginning and end, past and future but for god there is nothing like that it's all the same thing for him. That's why in several places in Quran he is giving us thats happens in the day of judgment telling his prophet Mohammed, tell the unbelievers when they will be standing and he asked wasn't what I was telling you is truth about the existence of only god and they reply oh god plz return us back to the life so we can do good things... To us this is in the future to god we cannot say it's in the future or the past or the present :)

Jesus said to his companions, there are many things I wanna tell you about god but you will not understand now, many others before him said this, even Mohammed after explaining all of these stuffs about God he could never explain about God himself! I mean how he looks...etc

however there are some explanations for his throne and am sure if I told you about them you would be surprised and would say that's only fantasy ^_^ thats why many said our limited mind cant grasp it.

So if God, something hugely more complex (and therefore more difficult to explain) than any natural phenomenon (including life itself), can have existed for eternity without a cause, why can't the same be said for the Universe so as to render God unnecessary?

That's because even if you live for the next billion years and you science have evolved to billion higher stages he would never be able to explain how the good looks like...etc however as the time passing every now and then Humans are explaining new stuffs about the humans, and comparing this with that...etc and something that has beginning should have end :) but God Allah he doesn't have a beginning nor end.

Religious texts can be disproven (to the extent that they are purely metaphorical) but it is well known that God cannot be disproven.

I don't think you understood my post. I am asking why, if one is going to assume that there must be something without a cause, that thing cannot simply be the Universe itself, because it is far more likely for something without a cause to be an inanimate void than an intelligent, omnipotent and omniscient being.
