Traveling soon
« on: November 04, 2018, 06:38:46 AM »
It would greatly surprise me if anyone cares, but I just thought I'd mention that I'll be traveling and might not have time to get on the internet for a while. Just don't want people to think I've fled from the FES. I'll be back eventually.

I've posted here, then I have deleted, the thought to post again then gave up. I have examined why did I ignore you. You say you are a flat earth believer, actually you say you are a "flat head" that I don't think a flat earth believer does not use this.

Anyways. You go because your job is done for now; you'll be back when you are required.

With apologies, I didn't think to look back into this thread when I got back on line a while back. So, better late than never?

It would greatly surprise me if anyone cares, but I just thought I'd mention that I'll be traveling and might not have time to get on the internet for a while. Just don't want people to think I've fled from the FES. I'll be back eventually.

prison?

Nope. Just away from home for a while, and without my desktop computer it was too much of a hassle to be on the chat boards.

A relative of mine went to jail once. This was back in the 1960's. She went on a Freedom Ride. Apparently jail was very unpleasant and she would never talk about it. Black folks and white folks got on busses all together, black and white sitting next to each other, and went into the southern U.S. Southern cops back then were quite brutal to the freedom riders, who were breaking the segregation laws. I've always admired her for her bravery and her commitment to the principle of racial equality.

Have a safe trip, avoid the penguins!

Thanks. The trip was safe. But there weren't any penguins where I went, so that wasn't a problem. :)

Safe travels. Just insist that your pilot uses the correct flat earth navigation methods.

I've never tried to tell airline pilots, ship captains, bus drivers, or train engineers how to do their job. Same for surgeons and especially anesthesiologists. Also carpenters, plumbers, and electricians. Pretty much any professional whose services I use, I figure it's best to let them do their job the way they know how.

Can you bring back some photos of the ice wall when you return?

No ice where I went. Did I give the impression I was going to visit the ice wall? Sorry. No, I'm pretty sure I never said anything about where I was going, and it was nowhere near the edge. It was just somewhere that my computer was not, so no discussion boards for a while.

Well, not quite.

You'd be pretty safe in the USA as long as you avoid Pittsburg. I hear those Pittsburgh Penguins have quite a swing.

And as far north as Brisbane, we're over 900 km north of those vicious Anti-Flat Earth Narrabeen Little Fairy Penguins.

Just look at those beady eyes just daring any Flat Earther to come within pecking range.

Penguins are cool. They can't fly but they can swim like porpoises. And they can go in cold water like polar bears. And they eat sashimi. And they look really silly when they walk. I like penguins. They make me smile.

How can anyone be the enemy of the shape of the Earth? The Earth is flat. Penguins live on the Earth. Therefore they are of the Earth and friends of it. Some people don't believe the Earth is flat, but penguins are birds. They don't believe in anything but swimming and eating fish. Oh, and they are also dinosaurs. If anybody is food for anybody else it's the other way around. An ice wall guard is no match for a dinosaur.

It's kinda like when you have soup the first time. You aren't sure - is it too hot? Do you blow on it? Should the spoon enter normal or perpendicular? Should you slurp? Can you pick up the whole bowl and just have at it like an almost not warm tea?

Don't worry about it.

Soup can be dangerous. You know the story about the man who visited the satyr, I suppose:

A man visited the home of a satyr on a cold winter day. A satyr, for those who do not know, is a mythical creature that's half man and half goat. The bottom half is the goat. The top half is the man. The satyr invited the man in, and the man blew on his hands. The satyr asked why he was doing that. "My hands are cold," said the man. "I'm blowing on them to warm them up." So, since the man was cold, the satyr invited him to sit at the table and served him a bowl of hot soup. The soup was so hot that after a first spoonful the man started to blow on it. The satyr asked him why he was doing that. The man replied that the soup was hot and he blew on it to cool it down.

So the satyr killed him because a man who could blow both hot and cold with the same breath must be a demon.

I didn't make this up. It's a thousands of years old story.

I'm going to hope that playing that game will be safer than eating soup at the home of a satyr.

And I still say that penguins are our friends. It's the roundies who should fear penguins because the penguins know that the Earth is flat.
