Therefore there are many Mormons throughout history that you may not know about such as King Henry VIII, the prophet Muhammed and the 6 million Mormons that died in the Holocaust perpetrated by Adolph Hitler, who was also a Mormon.

It may be from a lack of exposure due to there not being a large Jewish population in the southern US, but it doesn't seem like the extremist end of the Jewish faith applies their religion onto others, like Christianity and Islam, but rather onto themselves.  Forgive my ignorance if this is not the case.

Let me lay this out for you.  IRS agents don't waste their time with people like you and me.  We have this thing called stable wages and witholding.

The government already has our money at the end of the year.

Unless you're super rich and do not have withholding and can pay taxes in extremely creative ways.

That's what this funding for the IRS is for.

The IRS audits anyone they think is not paying taxes or not filing.

But they want the money and I suspect they're always willing to work with the poor to get things sorted out in a way that isn't "pay us $10,000 now or go to jail!".

The article, written in 2019, appears to support my point.

Around 2010 the republicans slashed the IRS budget.  Auditing the rich is an expensive process because their taxes are extremely complicated.  The IRS no longer had the budget to do it.  The article implies that due to a lack of funding that the IRS just started ganging up on the poor but these people get audited also regardless of how often the rich get audited.  You don't have to be rich to commit tax fraud.

This funding increase to the IRS is actually pretty recent, around August of last year.  So it's too early to tell if it's doing what it's supposed to do.  But the IRS commissioner committed to not increasing audits for anyone making less than 400k.
