Arts & Entertainment / Re: Adam Sandler's latest train wreck
« on: July 14, 2012, 09:22:41 AM »
Sandler just spent a few days filming in my home town. I think they were filming Grownups 2.

And you just stood idly by and did nothing to stop this?
Meh. He hasn't made a movie worth watching in a long time, but I still love Adam Sandler because of his movies that I remember from my childhood.

I'm transitioning from C# to Java for work. Since I have to learn Java anyway, I figure I'll start doing a bit of Android game development in my free time.

Finally an Android alternative to Siri. Siri is the only thing the iPhone has over Android phones, imo.

We asked Siri for good places to hide a body, and Siri gave a bunch of good places that might be actually good to hide a body, including a landfill. Funny stuff.

I can't wait until the next season. It's a shame it's still so far away.

When I am drinking casually I will usually have rum or amaretto mixed with coke. If I am trying to go overboard I'll drink tequila. But I'm like a woman (who isn't Gayer), and I can only do shots of tequila with salt and lime.

Glenn Beck is still around?

Honestly if I witnessed something that was impossible, like the regrowing of a limb in front of my eyes, I would come to the conclusion that I mentally ill before I would take it as proof of the existence of a deity.

Wendy, what's your character name?

I got a petition to change my character's appearance. What does this mean? I didn't make it stupid or anything, I just made a pretty standard rugged, white male. No compute.
So many people failed when they first made their character portraits that CCP just gave everyone a free remake.

Also, to Wendy and any other FES guys who are currently playing Eve, I have a public channel called "Can't Let You Do That Star Fox". I will be in there as either Brusanan, or sometimes Hemasteroids. Most of the people there were victims of my griefing at one point, who took it pretty well and turned out to be cool.

The new Incursions started a couple days ago. They are basically a form of group PVE. They have more powerful and more intelligent rats than missions and even the Sleepers, and they take a bit of planning and coordination as a fleet to run properly.

Here are some dev blogs explaining the Incursions:

Here's a video explaining the back story of the Sansha, the pirate faction behind the Incursions:

No, millennia (or millenniums, either are proper English) are macro-time. Years and days and such are micro-time.

 ???

I think this is a satire of the people who claim evolution is not scientific even though we can see segments of it happening.

In total we probably stole about 1.5 - 2 bill worth of stuff. Fairly small haul considering the time it took. We had to leave a lot of stuff behind because the only guy who could bump ships out of the POS had to go. We also had to destroy 2 Ravens and a Hulk because the only way we had to get BS sized ships out was being camped.

My alt was podded by a stealth bomber belonging to the fleet that was camping our way out. I lost my 20 mill bounty. :(

Without giving too much information, I am in the middle of cleaning out a WH POS that belongs to a corp that one of our guys infiltrated. He's been working on this for 2 months now, gaining their trust and getting access to their assets.

LOL, I forgot to blur out the WH ID. Oh well, this will be over soon enough. We just got intel that some of their alliance mates are planning on meeting up in the WH. We're going to fight them with their own ships (Which are all fit like shit).

GTFO my WH.
You can't suicide gank in a Wormhole. :P

Boy, did I pick a bad time to start playing this shit. The new update is seriously interfering with my play time.
Yeah, the new patch was released today. New character editor, changes to the Planetary Interaction system, and Incursions.

What the fuck is this? I'm sitting here with a cargo hold full of Tritanium(worthless, yes I know, but I still ought to be able to get something for it) in a station that's buying it, and I can't sell it. Why?
If there are no buy orders for it in the station, you can set up a sell order.

Today I learned not to steal from other people's cargo containers.
Lol. Lose a ship?

The detective is by far the most important player on the good side. To openly claim that you are the detective is just stupid.

There is a possibility that EnglshGentleman is really the detective, and he is taking one for the team or hoping that the nurse will save him. But this is a very risky move. However, if it's true then Gayer is definitely a wolf.

There is also the possibility that he is a wolf, and therefore is trying to frame Gayer while winning the support of the townsfolk. In this case he has zero consequences to worry about, as the wolves will not attack him because they know he is one of them, and the townsfolk definitely will not lynch their detective. If this is true, EnglishGentleman is definitely a wolf.

I'm leaning towards the latter, but I think it's a bad idea to jail people left, right and center without proof. Jailing innocent people is a good way to lose the game. So with this in mind, I am going to refrain from voting until one of them slips up and gives us evidence of them being a wolf.

Philosophy, Religion & Society / Re: Shooting unarmed people
« on: January 02, 2011, 11:27:34 AM »
Okay, so they aren't unarmed technically. But they are no danger with an empty gun. Deadly force is supposed to be used when a cop's life is threatened, not when they claim they thought it was.
What bullshit. If the cop were to assume the gun wasn't loaded and it turned out to be, it would be him who is dead.

In situations like that I would rather it be the instigator who is killed instead of hostages, passersby or police officers. And when they are killed, it is 100% their fault for puting the police officer in a position where they had to shoot them.

25
Don't worry, I'm sure another Cass alt will be around sooner or later to pick it up where Cass left off.
Fixed.

I'll probably make an appearance at a neighbor's party.

I am not necessarily in support of this act, but I would like to know why everyone is so opposed to it.
Because terrible drivers are a danger to themselves and everyone around them.
