Rain

How good is rain?  Seriously.  If people aren't aware, Australia is currently experiencing our worst drought on record.  It's not so bad down where I live, but much worse else where.  Anyway right now we're getting some serious torrential rain.  The first real sustained rain I've seen in about a year.  It's so fantastic, relaxing and soothing.  I just wanted to express my great joy at seeing the gutters fill and overflow, at seeing the trees glow and constant static of it.  Rain is awe inspiring :D

There is a little thunder and lightening as well.

I love thunderstorms.  It's perfect weather to sit inside and watch a movie or something.  But I hate when it's raining and I have to go somewhere.

I love rain as well. My family thinks I'm rather insane, but during thunderstorms, I love just going outside and laying in the grass. I find the sounds and the feeling of the drops and such rather soothing. Plus, lightning looks spectacular.

It's still raining, although not as heavy as before, and we've had 50mm here with some genuine flooding in some parts.  One of the local tv stations was unable to broadcast its news (because their office was flooded).

This was also my one day off for like 13 days, so I've spent the whole day relaxing and the weather was perfect :)

Yes, that is Kevin Rudd.  I have grown to hate him, but I hate John Howard even more, and am prepared to support Rudd on hope that he defeats Howard in the coming election.  Unfortunately, as we get closer to the date, I become more and more pessimistic.  I have had a number of moral debates with myself about changing the picture, but in the end I'm supporting Rudd despite his faults.

His main fault is that he's a serious Christian, and even voted on a stem cell bill because of his religious convictions, rather than the scientific evidence.  He is certainly not the kind of person I want running Australia, or running anything for that matter.  However, at least he is far more honest and humane than Howard and the Liberals, and having a religious nutter in power would be a vast improvement over having Machiavellian sociopaths running our country.

Rain rocks ass, though there isn't noramlly much in Qatar. Although now the weather is good for rain, and it rained a few days ago, it was a thunderstorm, and it rocked ass.

My grandparents went to Arizona to visit some relatives. They said there was way too much sand.

The northern half of Arizona is awesome, but the lower half is nothing but dirt and heat.  But I'm not complaining, I'll take 119 degrees over 12 degrees any day.

Not me. I live in New England, so I am used to extremely cold weather.

I was born and raised in Santa Fe, NM.  I've seen enough snow and coldness to last a long time.  You guys can keep it.

You should try Puerto Rico. The politics are greatly entertaining and the climate really ROCKS!

On the other hand, the economy is starting to suck... err.. ok, just forget I said anything.  :?
