to all the fe'ers, does the flat earth spin? after reading the part in the faq about seasons, i wondered if the sun orbited over a point that wasn't over the north pole. that's about the only way i can think of to make that work, the seasons i mean. please correct me if i'm wrong.

I'm not sure about whether or not it spins. But the seasons on a FE are explained by the sun's orbit shifting slightly over the equator throughout the year.

The sun already does orbit over a place other than the north pole in the FE model; it orbits over the equator.

I'm guessing he probably meant "around a point over" rather than "over".  If he did, then I suspect this would easily be observed by looking at the angle of the sun above the horizon at noon at different points of the same latitude.
