Why cant RE exist?

i am amazed that i see nothing that explains why a RE  doesnt exist, all i see people writing about is how a FE Theory would work.

i want to know what is so hard to believe about the RE theory?

It isnt so much that we have something that shows why it can't exist, although I'm sure Dogplatter has some idea.  But since this site was around it has been RErs sayin "OH BUT WHAT ABOUT _______"

well just explain why someone would switch from being a RE'er to a FE'er when there are no holes in the RE theory?

Seals are unexplainably good with balls. There are no balls in thier natural habitat. How, when a ball is thrown to a seal, does it know that it can balance it on its nose?

Ahh, now this really IS a government conspiracy!

You see, during World War 2, all seals were genetically modified to distract Germans with amazing ball tricks and jumping through hoops etc, whilst the Allies would bomb them all.

Unfortunately (for the seals) this modification lasted through the generations and they were condemned to a life of balancing balls for the entertainment of the public.

Find me one article about the physics behind Universal Acceleration (or whatever you guys substitute for gravity).

Its better than the 'Flat Earth' theory of the Earth constantly accelerating upwards. How do we maintain our place in the solar system then? Do all the other planets and the sun follow us?

No you misunderstand me - I was commenting on your theory about the seals.

Its better than the 'Flat Earth' theory of the Earth constantly accelerating upwards. How do we maintain our place in the solar system then? Do all the other planets and the sun follow us?

The FE acceleration is flawed anyway, seeing as a constantly accelerating body will eventually hit light-speed, something which is impossible.

In all fairness, it  has been proved that atoms attract each other, so the RE version of gravity does work. We don't understand exactly how it works, so what? We don't understand exactly why oppositely charged particles attract each other either, or why the strong nuclear force completely disappears beyond a certain limit. It isn't evidence the earth is flat!

And Crimsonking- the way it has been since this forum was set up is that REers say "But what about...", and the FEers explain that which fits in with their theories, and conveniently ignore that which doesn't

They start off pretty cool, making people say "wow, I never thought of that before, I suppose it could happen" etc. Then of course someone comes up with a scientific way of proving a part of the theory wrong, and the conspiracy theorists have to make stuff up to keep it all alive.

I mean, genetically engineered penguins from a 1960's lab....Ice Wall Guardians...a flat sun and moon...and the Earth accelerating without breaking the speed of light??? Talk about far fetched...that is just pure idiocy!

Well, apparently we'd still feel like the earth was accelerating at 9.8m/s^2 even if it was accelerating slower, because of the way Newtonian physics warps close to the speed of light.

Having said this, although it's theoretically possible, it's highly improbable that this is the case, as other weird things happen as we approach the speed of light

I argues the lighspeed point for a long time, and still can't get my head around it, but dysfunction provided a link to a physics forum which says it is possible.
