Name an absolutely garbage fantasy book that you've last read

Mine is "A Court of Thorns and Roses" by Sarah J Maas

Not read that.

The Belgariad, dull, dull, dull.

Thomas covenant the unbeliever, I know he’s supposed to be the unbeliever but fuck him for being so appalling, I would have cut his throat about half way through the book.

Oh, I was mostly talking about popular YA romantasy books, but that works too. I suggest you to try reading court of thorns. It will leave you wanting to kill both the main leads and then the author. And now I have, for reading, Belgariad and Thomas covanent? And I'm definitely not touching conan again.

Ah! Well I’m not young, I did watch Twilight with my daughter when it came out, and that was dreadful, I know I wasn’t the intended target but still truly awful though.

Speaking of Twilight, fifty shades of grey was just... Horrible. But anyways, what books do you do like to read?

When I was a teenager I loved the Thomas Covenant books, but I reread them about 10yrs ago and thought they were pretty bad. lol

My favorite books OF ALL TIME are the Dune series (not the new ones written by KJA). My favorite sort of fantasy series was The Gunslinger.
I'm sorry. Am I to understand that when you have a boner you like to imagine punching the shit out of Tom Bishop? That's disgusting.

The best fantasy series for me is the Malazan book of the Fallen, a hard slog of 10 biggish books but utterly worth it, if you like grimdark and world building centred writing.

Also, Mark Lawrence, China Mieville, Paolo Bacigalupi, Charles Stross, Haruki Murukami, N K Jemisin and loads of others.

The books based on the video game Halo.  Total trash.

Also I've read at least a dozen of them.
