If the Earth is Flat, Why is it that some stars are seen only at certain times of the Year? Like Orion is only seen During Winter in North America. And The Southern Cross is only seen across the Equator?

Rowboat thinks they have shutters on them. Go figure.

So tell me who's in? I saw someone saying the images make earth look like it has curvature because of "bendy light", but in the meantime ppl say its flat and looks flat
So which one is it?

Like I said in my previous post, I'm involved with weather balloons. I have one to be "launched" or rather released in march from SW ON. It is expected to reach about 95.000 feet. You're more then welcome to attend, plus if you like it can carry your own camera.(3lbs of payload atill available) At that altitude you can clearly see the curvature of earth.

Well thank you for the links but they really don't prove anything. Don't get me wrong, I believe people should believe what ever they want to believe, and I'm not trying to prove that earth is round, I wanna hear your arguments for why it's not. I'd like to have some scientific evidence. Obviously pictures of RE are all fake so show me your pictures. I only believe what my eyes tell me to believe.

Well that is all nice thank you but doesn't really clear up anything. It's only speculation. So how do you explain the clear curvature that you see from 100000 feet? Just an optical illusion right?
I'd still like to get an explanation as to why planes must follow a curved path when flying (not gonna say around the globe) long distances in order to avoid running out of fuel?

Hello all;

First let me say that I've come with an open mind and that I believe that earth is round so I need you to convince me otherwise. I am looking for proof a bit beyond "not known". About myself; I am a commercial pilot with both fixed and rotary wing ratings. I currently fly helicopters, but I have accumulated 1900 hours in a learjet flying at over 40000 feet. from that altitude, you can clearly (with my eyes at least) see the curvature of earth. Furthermore, I have been a part of a team sending high altitude balloons to above 100000 feet to collect air samples and take pictures. I have the pictures on my home computer and I have in cockpit videos of my experiences while flying the Lear which I'll be more than happy to post if need be but most likely they will be stamped as fakes.

what I'd like to know if FE is true;
What's causing the 4 seasons, the tides, winds just to begin with and why I need to follow a curved path while flying a 6000mile trip to avoid running out of fuel. (you'll need 50% more fuel to fly in a straight line from New-York to Moscow)
Who would benefit from a conspiracy of this scale?

this is of course for starters cause I could go on for a LONG time.
