They just made up the position to get you to stop throwing tantrums.
I'm sorry. Am I to understand that when you have a boner you like to imagine punching the shit out of Tom Bishop? That's disgusting.

I'm surprised it took Thork this long to realize that.

I believe the idea was that we'd see how things went. Personally I think you guys could do with more access, but some are understandably worried about responsibility etc. It doesn't help when the first thing Thork does upon seeing that someone is being 'watched' is shout about it.

It didn't work. >:(

I'm surprised it took Thork this long to realize that.
I was bemused at the time, but thought someone had just not finished organising the group. Rather than moan I just sat back and waited to see how things would turn out. There is no point in a group if it doesn't have any privileges. That's the point of a group. Wiki editors can see the wiki form. FEBs can post in the FEB forum.

It doesn't help when the first thing Thork does upon seeing that someone is being 'watched' is shout about it.
I suppose this was an absolute disaster and makes Tausami's mod-boner and bam-rampage look insignificant? Listen Your Majesty, I'm someone who doesn't create alts, doesn't bring down the site, doesn't set up facebook or youtube accounts slagging the place off, doesn't chase off noobs as soon as they post, doesn't post porn, doesn't disrespect Tom Bishop, doesn't spam the place up with "he is" posts, doesn't necro posts that should be left alone, bothers participating in the upper fora repeating the same things for the hundredth time and makes on the whole "high-content" posts. I'm a f*cking model forum member! >o<

As for me calling the mods out on it when they are being ineffective, that was a good thing. I am no longer able to see and note when they do dumb things with the warning system but answer me this Wilmore, Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

Now if you don't mind, I have important messages to disseminate to the rest of the forum. Good day.

I'm not saying it was a disaster, just that it's rather hard to persuade others who are sceptical about giving you guys the keys to the moderation centre when you can't keep schtum about what's in there. When I suggested that you guys should be given a little more access, I wasn't exactly overwhelmed by a wave of enthusiasm. Since then you've been squealing with glee every time you see something new and shiny. Look at Dave and Steve. You don't see them emoting about the many arcane secrets they are now privy to.

There's a reason not everyone can see that stuff. It's because they're not supposed to. Just keep it on the low. Who knows, the mod squad might be a little more open to the idea next time. And incidentally, this was John's idea, and was simply designed to lighten his load. I just happen to think it was a good one.

As for "quis custodiet ipsos custodes", the answer is Daniel, who's paying for the place. Try that line on a bouncer next time you've had one too many, and see how far you get.

I suggest you unban the alt account and see if that fixes the problem. If it does, delete the account.

I'm someone who doesn't chase off noobs as soon as they post

I dispute this. You attempt to gun down anyone who mentions they have professional knowledge of any field that helps them disprove FET. You treat all of them as if they are liars and behave snobbishly and rudely to them.

No offense, but I don't want you trolling my serious thread. Take your personal crusades somewhere else.

Have you looked into it more yet?

Sorry Verrine, was Thork's post that I replied to in some way relevant to unbanning your friend's IP address? Yet I don't see you whining at him. And don't forget to go into the thread I started in here recently and whinge at the two or three people throwing tomatoes at me in there too.

You have been warned about derailing threads and posting off-topic before. This is your last warning.
