How do plate tectonics work on a flat earth?

I await another fascinating explanation by the FES community.

I've never seen continents shift personally so I have no reason to believe that they do.

I suppose thats right. Better to have someone admit they don't know than to have them make up ten ridiculous theories with no physical evidence to explain it.

So the fact that other people have seen it personally doesn't sway you? There was such a thing as a earthquake earlier this year in Japan, which has left a segment of the earth's crust in a measurably different place than it was. I'd love to see you deny this and insult the dead.

I'd consider blatantly insulting an argument without actually addressing it to be an ad ridiculum. Also, I don't quite remember why tectonics don't work (it was actually one of my first topics, but I don't remember my logic).
