I have a question

I was sent here by a friend of mine to "troll" you people, but decided against it after reading the FAQ and several other threads. It would be a waste of my time. Instead, I would like to know why exactly you people decided to reject the round-earth model and create one (or "discover" one, whatever you want to call it) about the earth being flat? Was there something wrong with the idea that the earth is round? Why exactly do you think this flat-earth theory, disputed heavily by almost every study conducted on the fact, is the truth?

And then there's the ability to see the curvature of the Earth from an altitude completely insufficient to see the wall of ice/Antarctica that make me wonder whether you people are intelligent and misguided (this is how it looks from my point of view) or just pulling a prank on the rest of humanity. Please note I mean no disrespect, I'm just bemused and curious.

Would you mind me asking how you came about your theory of how the earth is flat? Did you just decide one day that the earth was flat or did someone you were close to convince you that the earth was flat?

Just an analogy to the fact that the people who come here to troll us and leave feeling enraged never quite catch on to the fact that they are the ones being trolled.

As SCG is getting towards, the only aircraft that can allegedly see curvature are military craft, such as the U2 plane or MiGs.

Not really. What are you going to do, go on the Today Show and tell people the Earth is flat? You'd get laughed at. The only way to fight the conspiracy is slowly and tirelessly. First we get people used to the idea that FET is a legitimate theory, and then we start to convince people.

Less than 5 minutes of Google searching and reading will provide you with more evidence for how those experiments failed to prove anything. In fact the way that thos experiments failed only provides evidence for a round earth. Science has come a long way since 1838, and the scientific community on 1938 disagreed with SBR. As a matter of fact he wrote another papaer shorthly after the BLE about the shape of the earth, submitted it to peer review, and it was thrown out instantly because it was based on flawed methods and assumptions. SBR and the BLE was a Fraud, please stop spreading it as Gospel.

That's because Rowbotham didn't provide enough detailed documentation to say for sure.  However, the cool air near the water's surface and the warm air above are ideal conditions for refraction, especially when the telescope is only 18 inches above the water.  I have no doubt that Rowbotham was well aware of this phenomenon and used it to his advantage.  After all, why else would he insist that the telescope be so close to the water?

If you think the only issues related to SBR's experiments and how it has been debunked you have your head in the sand. Just stop using SBR and his experiments. It makes you guys look silly.

Do some work and find some modern examples of FE findings. SBR does not serve your cause since 1838.

Why wouldn't it get taken seriously though? As fellow FE'ers have demonstrated, not only is there plenty of evidence of the Earths Flatness, but mostly all of the evidence for RET was been manufactured by The NASA Conspiracy.

Incorrect.  You seem to be just another person to submit statements presented as fact, all the while demonstrating no knowledge of the subject in which you speak of.  The Soviets and U.S space agencies did work together, first in secret and then later in the open as they found they no longer had to hide it so much.  This took place during the cold war.  A russian soyuz craft was  used with an unused apollo shuttle during the cold war under the guise of detente.  Besides the facts of their collaboration, during the cold war you never knew who was working with who, or for who.  Brother Felix (R) has documented his theory which suggests the U.S actually allowed the first satellite to be launched by the russians to ascertain a tremendous budget later that year to finance technology they already had and had just given to the russians.
