IT ALL EXPLOSIONED INTO SPACE
Uh no. Space was simply created.

There weren't even neutrons or protons at the very beginning, it was just energy. Then quarks were formed, and those made atoms.
Yeah, you totally understand this stuff.
I was giving an example to disprove his statement. I used a subatomic particles I assumed he knew about. I never said they were the first matter to form. I try not to talk about quarks with people that don't seem to understand protons and neutrons.
Sorry, that was directed at the OP, should have made that more clear. You're good.
cool. sorry for the misunderstanding.
@ op
out of mild curiosity what is the highest level of science you have taken? and was it in public or private schools?
Me? Bachelor's degree in Physics. I also watch a lot of discovery channel.

An explosing INTO space?
How did the space get there? Think about it.

1) "in the beginning the universe had infinite density"
infinite?! so you have this infinite hunk of rank in a basketball sized mass right? How brilliant! its infinitely dense in such a small space. infinite?! theres really no such thing as infinity!!!
Denying the existence of infinity is saying that you believe there is a highest number, which is an even stranger concept.

Not if the universe is finite. You can say there are an infinite amount of points on a given line, but you would have to sit there making points for eternity, which is impossible.

Re: BIG BANG DISCUSSION 2
Well, there are two ways of looking at it Fortuna. Either the universe is either truly infinite (meaning that it literally has no end), or it is
practically infinite
, meaning that while it does have an edge, but you simply cant reach it due to the limitations of physics. Either way, you just cant get there from here, so its all semantics.

Again, you cannot get a finite gravitational field from an infinite slab. The real Earth has depth.
You are more stubborn than all FE people on this forum together.

That would have been better. I see no reason to assume it's one or the other, anyway.

Space is big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly hugely mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist, but that just peanuts to space.
